“…being rooted and established in love…” (Ephesians 3:17)
Paul writes that understanding the full measure of Christ’s love—the width, length, height, and depth—requires something first: that we’re rooted in it. Just as healthy roots anchor a plant and enable it to thrive and bear fruit, our spiritual root system must be anchored in the secure soil of God’s love and the community of faith.
We grow not in isolation, but in fellowship with “all the Lord’s holy people.” Love isn’t just an abstract idea; it’s a practice lived out daily with others. Britt reminds us that as we interact with fellow believers—especially in difficult or grace-filled moments—we begin to comprehend and reflect the boundless love of Christ.
