Another amazing and intense book from Janie Crouch! There were just enough characters that could be the suspect that you just aren't sure who the real bad guy is until near the very end! I love the authors writing style! She holds the plot well but always tosses little thing out for the reader too grab onto! Definitely 10 star read!!!

Really engaging

I very, very much enjoyed this book. The man characters as well as the supporting characters are engaging and well developed. The mystery came together in the end. Would've liked more info in the conclusion. I read an ARC of one of her other novels which led me to purchase this one. Looking forward to further reading.

I enjoyed this book but not as well as the two ...

I enjoyed this book but not as well as the two others in this series. The best part was leading up to the heroine arriving in San Fransico. After that, it was just okay. No real romance to speak of. The sex scene was oh-hum.

Great "couldn't put it down" story!

I loved that Adrienne was somebody I never hated. She was never stupid. She was awesome. Conner, on the other hand.... though once over the rough patch, I couldn't love him more. He is everything a protective possessive alpha male should be. I couldn't wait to see read the next story about Paige.

Great chemistry, Great Story, Great Read!

I really liked this book! I won't do another plot summary, but this is a quick-paced book I read in one setting. Didn't want to put it down! Dialogue was witty, the plot twists were great. Really just enjoyed it. Some people were complaining about the book being too short... It's a category romance, folks. That's just the length they are. Perfect for a great, fast read! I'll be reading more of this authors books!

Guilty Pleasure

This series is like an impending train wreck that you can't stop watching and I mean that in the best possible way. You know that something tragic and horrible and messy it about to happen, yet you simply can't avert your eyes. Over and over, I've thought that there was something just terribly, terribly wrong with these people. Then why can't I stop listening? If loving them is wrong, I don't want to be right! Every time that I thought the Batesville Trailer Park residents (including that creepy Jigger dude) couldn't possibly get into more trouble or surprise me, I was smacked upside the head with another shocker. This deliciously addictive series is my newest guilty pleasure.

Double-Wide was even better than the first book in the series. The story really takes off in this edition and it's one crazy situation after another. The sordid details of Anne Marie's past are finally revealed, as well as the identity and motives of the blackmailer. Sierra is a character that I still can't quite figure out. If I were a struggling single mother, I would want my sugar daddy forking over cold, hard cash - not designer purses, I mean handbags. And am I the only one that was blown away by Lettie's reaction to confronting her husband's mistress? Hang on tight because things are about to really heat up - literally! Oh my, the madness of it all!

Lindsey Corey's performance as narrator was terrific once again and I could easily distinguish the main characters. This was a great listening experience and I would recommend Trailer Park Wives: The Double-Wide Edition - Bigger, Better, Wider.

Even better than Single Wide - Book 1

This is not my usual book. I dont usually do suspenseful mystery thrillers but Im so glad I decided to make an exception. Book one was good but I like this one is even better. You need to start with book one to understand better what is going on in this book. The author provided much needed information to understand Anne Maries troubled life and actions.

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

There are some outrageous moments, crazy decisions, and laugh out loud moments in this book.

one of my all-time favourites - ruined

This is a book I can read over and over again, and have done for over 30 years. So I was looking forward to the audio book, as, despite being very familiar with the text, I thought it would be equally fun to listen to.

Unfortunately not.

The narrator manages to take a fun, swashbuckling, absolutely hysterical story, and make it dull as ditch water. He doesn't seem to understand any of the humour, the stresses are wrong and the accents are terrible. It's a mystery to me how he managed it, but somehow he did.

Consequently, a book I have loved for many years is spoiled in the audio format. Fortunately, I can still enjoy the original text.

Great fun. Superb narration

A Ripping Yarn from the brilliant George MacDonald Fraser author of Flashman, from which I've learnt all 19 th century history that's worth learning, also Quartered Safe Out Here and the splendid McAuslan. All deserve Five Stars. At least.

Ruined by narrator!!!!!

What would have made The Nature of the Beast better?

The late Ralph Corsham WAS Armand Garmache and his readings of the books was masterful. It was such a change from the usual crime novel genre. This narrator is absurd! He cannot pronounce the French names - this is set in QUEBEC! But worse, he makes the story sound like any old crime fiction, reading passages breathlessly to induce tension and suspense - laughable. The magic is gone - I couldn't bear to listen to the end! I cant believe Audible (Louise Penny ???) chose such a dissimilar narrator!

The most shocking thing is that Ralph's readings have now all been displaced by this narrator's! Poor people who havent downloaded the previous versions. But I guess, the difference was too glaring - making the replacement of all readings of Louise Penny's Inspector Gramache books with narrator necessary.

Would you be willing to try another one of Adam Simss performances?

Brilliant

I have loved every single book in this series. All different and yet all with the power to make me think beyond the story. I thoroughly recommend these books.

The narration is worthy of the author - an exceptional combination.

What a narrator!!

This book is an excellent addition to this series. I thought the narrator made it even more excellent, with distinct voices for every character and beautiful pacing.

I miss Three Pines already!

One of those book you are never sure if you like the main character

Not sure if I like the main character Dave, but he does seem to know how to get him self into trouble very easily and I wouldn't mind some of the skills myself but I won't say which ones

Overall if it's a wet Wednesday afternoon and you don't have anything major to do its a good listen.

Great read and rear

Although this book stated off very slow once I got into it I tried to listen to it every chance I got. It is well written with a very engaging story line that will keep you guessing until the very last chapter. The characters are well developed and the main male (Mills) character pulls at your heart strings more and more as the story progresses. I highly recommend this book. The reader is fantastic. I would definitely listen to books where he is the narrator.

Slow going

Well written but overly long, especially for a story that is trying to build and maintain suspense. If you have time to invest, enjoy literary writing, and are a patient listener, this is a good book. If you are looking for a page turner, this is NOT for you. Good narrator, but somehow lacking in emotion, although he does a multitude voices quite well.

The Bore-ient

I had high hopes for this book in the beginning. it started out interesting and suspenseful but then became so drawn out and boring. once they killed off one of the only two characters I cared about in this book I really struggled to listen to the end of it, which turned out to be pretty disappointing what could have been suspenseful was just so farfetched. It left too many unanswered questions . II would not recommend this book at all

Masterfully written

Masterfully written with suspense until the very end. There are sentences that brought me inside the characters with a insightful, metaphorical ease. Must read for lovers of literature and mystery alike.

I enjoy Sendker. I experience his novels as both character and plot driven, with complexity and compassion. This book shared certain similarities with Henning Mankel's Man from Being in terms of corruption and no rule of law. The citizens of the. US should take note of the implications.

Nice

This was a nice book that I enjoyed a lot. It is definitely not a book for everyone, but if you like books that involve a lot of spirituality and you aren't opposed to take a leap of faith then you'll enjoy this immensely. I like that it was entertaining throughout and offered some spiritual insight at the end.

True Southern Gothic.

Jay is bats@&t crazy. But it's the kind of crazy that damn near everyone who lives south of the equator can relate to. There is the scene early in the book where Jay has an intimate encounter with the riverbank, and oddly I could appreciate it. Boy what a book. Get off the fence and sink your feet into the mud. You will not regret it.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. Wasn't sure how deep the author would take it....a progression into insanity takes many twists and turns. The character of the wife was very well developed. She is the fulcrum.

What about Brian Hutchinsons performance did you like?

Loved that he didn't know how to pronounce the fish---spelled "crappie"
