This meditation is offered with love and gratitude to my friend Michael Stone. He was an amazing spiritual teacher, a profound human, a human father and a good friend. He will be missed deeply.

Living from our hearts is mysterious at the best of times. How do we listen deeply when our conditioning and fear is so loud and the world seems to be in constant chaos? Listening deeply is a choice for activism because it requires some kind of ethical code and trust in our own intent. In this meditation I explore some of the somatic, mental, emotional and spiritual sensations of listening to the heart.

In my practice of seeking to understand the world I've found that the symbolic language of astrology gives me just as much context and inspiration as any religion or philosophy. Twice a month I offer new moon and full moon astrology podcasts and horoscopes as tools for self-understanding and personal poetic license in life. This coming Sunday July 23rd is a new moon in Leo. Michael was a Leo, and in true Leonine fashion he had fabulous hair, lots of love, charisma and
