What up, sis?! Meet the incredible barber and Prism Way inspiration, Boanergez Martinez. Growing up in Inglewood, Boanergez faced immense challenges as a young Hispanic man. With his father leaving the family when he was just five, Boanergez found safety and value in gang life, looking up to his older brother, who was deeply involved in gang activities.

Despite feeling secure in that world, Boanergez’s life took a dark turn, facing 35 years to life in prison. Struggling with suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and depression, he made a powerful decision to change his life. In prison, he found sobriety, took accountability for his wrongs, and sought change by allowing God to guide him. With unshakable faith, Boanergez wrote down his desire for freedom and declared it daily, manifesting his release.
