🌾 Evening Meditation
Amber Ginter opens up with vulnerable honesty about growing up in a home filled with tension, verbal abuse, and trauma. In this powerful devotional, she reminds us that peace isn’t the absence of conflict—but the presence of courage, healing, and intentional pursuit of wholeness.
Drawing from her own journey through counseling and the discovery of long-unprocessed pain, Amber illustrates that peace in our families isn’t always about full reconciliation—it’s about acknowledging suffering, seeking help, and pursuing healing in Christ.
Romans 12:18 doesn’t call us to fix everyone—it calls us to do our part. That may mean setting boundaries, going to therapy, or stepping away from toxic relationships. It also means being honest about your pain and letting God begin the work of restoration.
Tonight, you are invited to move toward peace, even if your family history is complicated. God sees the hurt—and He walks with you through it.
🙏 Your Nightly Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Finding peace when you're dealing with family conflict isn't always easy. Especially for those of us who come from broken homes, it can feel imaginary or impossible. Lord, please remind us that finding peace can be practical. Help us to be honest with you and others about what we're experiencing and seek help if we need it, whatever that looks like. Show us how to properly resolve conflict with others, and lead, guide, and direct us in the way we should go.
Thank you, Jesus!
Amen.
