We for certain reasons both genuine, and stupid and frivolous as well, we had incurred debt that was necessary, but the vast majority of it was stupid debt that we really didn’t need to accrue with bad spending habits and some bad investments we had made. We have 3 things we did to get out of debt that have worked amazingly well for us. Number one was creating a budget, number two would be recognizing beliefs and behaviors that led you to the debt, and then number three is for healthy eating and health reasons, doing more things at home instead of spending money outside at restaurants and such.
