Every HR professional has their own (personal) philosophy of what the practice of human resources entails and they use that to define their primary purpose. Some view their most important responsibility to be the compliance expert (i.e. “policy police”). Others consider their role as the organizational culture and engagement champion to be at the fore-front. There are some who prefer HR to be seen-and-not-heard as they manage processes and procedures from the sidelines.  Our guest this week, Nicole Roberts, VP of HR at BrightView, LLC considers helping others succeed to be top of mind.
