I was an 18-year-old kid heading to the Bay Bridge World Series on October 17, 1989.
The man who would become my cousin one day, Gerry Shannon, was a San Francisco firefighter of 19 years on that fateful day.
He is a very modest man and as many first responders claim, he was just doing his job.
But on that tragic day in San Francisco history, he saved a woman's life.
This is part of that story. Please share the Podcast episode with everyone you know.
Gerry was actually played by actor Scott Valentine in the movie that was made based on Gerry's heroism, AFTERSHOCK.

Some pretty cool findings. No slight to cat owners or lovers of fish, reptiles, or birds.
But maybe there IS a solid reason why dogs were labeled "man's best friend" after all.
If you like what you hear, please share it with everyone you know and consider supporting my premium content uploaded daily. If you'd rather make a one time donation to my Positivity Revolution, please do so and know I will always pay it forward, buying a sandwich for a homeless person or helping someone out in the grocery store who is a few bucks shy or paying for the people behind me at the drive thru.
I appreciate each and every one of you! Much love and gratitude.

When talking about smiling, I think of the Jimmy Durante version of the song "Smile" and Louis Armstrong's version of "When You're Smiling"!
We know that we feel better when we smile than when we frown or scowl.
But what if even a FAKE smile made us feel better? Then we could instantly fake it til we could make it...but feel good right away!
Well, a new study shows just that...that smiling whether you're truly feeling it or not can bring about the same feelings as if the smile were totally genuine and heartfelt.

I'm joined by a wonderful, positive minded lady I met through Twitter, Christine Alexandria.
She is the author of several books including Askfirmations, which we discuss in this serendipitous interview.
We also talk about the Law of Attraction and the power of believing in ourselves and our endless potential.
She can be found on social media, including Twitter. She has a private Facebook page called Angel Chatter as well. Check out her website for her books and products and services. GREAT stuff!!
My plan is to have Christine on again to discuss her other works as well as get more in depth on the Law of Attraction and the work she does as an intuitive.
If you like what you hear, please listen to more of Hughes From The Heart and share it with friends and family and consider supporting the premium content as well.
Thanks, my friends! Enjoy our chat with Christine Alexandria!
