In this episode, we talk about the fear of uncertainty and how it makes us do boring things, like staying firmly planted in our comfort zone even though we're miserable. But if we can learn to roll with it, uncertainty almost always brings powerful opportunities for growth and expansion. Of course, it's uncomfortable to take a risk and trust the process, but that discomfort is often an indicator that you're in the right place at the right time, having the experience you need. If you don't understand why things are unfolding as they are, maybe it's time to trust that they are serving you and surrender.

Lina Heid, a passionate advocate for youth, has experienced profound personal growth in the last few years. As a young child, she lacked the support and guidance she desperately needed from the adults responsible for raising her. But, despite her painful upbringing, Lina managed to accomplish big things. Although driven to pursue her dream of a career in social work, it didn't take her long to realize that true happiness and purpose aren't necessarily found in fancy degrees and big paychecks, but in being present and staying open. In this episode, Lina shares the creative ways she nurtured and healed herself, empowering herself to show up every day as an inspiration to the youth she mentors and a steadfast advocate for her own well-being. As you listen to her story, I think you'll find that a meaningful life, rich with joy and contentment, is possible for every one of us if we embrace consistency, patience, and a little faith.

What is intuition? It's that inner voice that nudges you in a certain direction, sometimes gently, sometimes persistently. Referencing Malcolm Gladwell, Carlos Castaneda, Wayne Dyer, and even the movie Yes Man, we explore the relationship between intuition and logic and the fine line between intuition and fear. How do you hear, trust, and use your intuition? When making important decisions, which should have the last word: your intuitive gut or your logical brain?
Episode Transcript
Looking at your own life, can you identify any major decisions or moments where your intuition played a significant role? How do you think those situations would have unfolded if you had ignored your intuition? Or if you ignored your intuition, how would they have unfolded if you hadn't?
How do YOU differentiate between fear and intuition? Are there any specific signs or indicators that help you distinguish between the two?
How important is intuition in your decision-making process? Do you believe that intuition is a reliable guide for making life decisions, or do you think your decision-making should always include logical reasoning?
Do you feel that it's necessary to receive confirmation that your intuition was right to consider it a successful decision?

Cristy returns (from episode 5) to share her progress in communicating more effectively, specifically with her spouse. She talks about key observations she's made that have completely changed how she responds, what she takes on, and what she lets go of. She shares different techniques she's experimented with to create open lines of communication, like addressing a problem head-on before it escalates, and how doing so has helped her see that miscommunication and an unwillingness to get clarity have often been the root of her relationship conflicts.

Tyler Lemco is an artist who doesn't attach himself to just one medium. He has a career in comedy but also loves painting, music, acting, and writing. Currently fascinated by the flow state, Tyler has experimented with bouncing from one creative outlet to another on any given day and has not only gained a deeper understanding of himself but has also fully embraced being "kinda bad" at many cool things.
In this episode, Tyler tells us how creative expression, without the expectation of it being perfect (or even good), is an incredible tool for mental health. He believes that every one of us is creative and we each have "a thing." According to Tyler, you should do whatever inspires you - even if you suck at it.

Sometimes you feel stuck, and that's okay.
Because, well, life.
You're busy coping with the latest emergency, struggle, or high-stakes situation, and by the time it's resolved, you've developed unhealthy habitual patterns of being that are hard to shake.
Our guest this week, Annie, was on track to live the life she wanted. She had a thriving career, a happy marriage, and a newborn son.
But then a car accident derailed everything.
Not only did her injuries leave her with chronic pain, but she's been in limbo for thirteen years, unable to work while the insurance company deliberates.
During this time, she's been in survival mode and hasn't dared to dream or hope for anything.
Unfortunately, to cope with life experiences like these, sometimes we become a different version of ourselves, possibly one we no longer recognize.
This is what happened to Annie.
Throughout the years, she lost herself - her passions, confidence, and dreams - and became increasingly isolated from others. She was held captive by her pain and immobilized by the opinions of others.
Maybe you can relate to her story.
Has a major life event or traumatic experience changed you in some way? Do you wonder how you'll ever get back to being you?
If so, this episode is for you!
