They discuss how they met while working on an influencer campaign for McDonald's and Busch Gardens. Christina talks about her journey from being a broadcast media buyer to getting interested in social media and eventually interning at Tiramisu for Breakfast. She explains that the name of the agency comes from the time she used to order pizza and tiramisu for breakfast in college, symbolizing breaking rules and doing things differently. They also discuss their experience working with clients, such as McDonald's, and highlight the importance of proactive PR and building relationships with reporters.
On episode 2 of Hungry Thoughts, we get to hear from a friend and line cook at Blue Atlas in Richmond, VA, Paolo Escay. Paolo shares his culinary journey, from taking culinary arts classes in high school to dropping out of college to attend culinary school. He discusses his experiences working at different restaurants, including the challenges of adapting to new menus and kitchen setups. Paolo also talks about the intense pressure and demanding environment of fine dining establishments, which has both broken him down and toughened him up. Despite dreaming of opening his own restaurant, he expresses a desire to further explore the world of fine dining and potentially work at a Michelin star level. Paolo emphasizes the importance of communication and taking the time to concentrate in order to avoid mistakes in his job.
