Ivan talked about the importance to evangelize because Jesus has commanded us to do so. We have the unlimited amount of cure for this dying world and Jesus is the answer.

Sermon Notes:

Mark 16:15-20

- Sad to say but this has become the reality of many in the American Church ,(God's Church).

- They feel like this scripture doesn't apply to them. Like it only applies to special people, u know the ones born with a halo over their head.

Think about it: If the early disciples did that, then the book of Acts would not be called the book of Acts but it would be called the book of Sitting.

- The message of Jesus Christ would never have reached me or you.

But the early disciples did go, they preached everywhere, the Lord did work with them and confirmed his word by signs following.

Look at all the action words in Jesus's command.

- "We owe the world an encounter with God" Bill Johnson

Question burning in my Heart:

- "Lord, why are not more of your disciples, believers, your children, your people, your messengers, not doing what you called and commanded them to do?

1. because we became comfortable, with their own lives.

- we have houses, friends, families, friends, cars, clothes, jobs and all the necessities of life.

- we love comfort.

Felt like the Lord Say, " Sometimes it takes Pain to reach the Lost"

John 3:16

When I gave my only begotten Son, It was painful. He had to leave the beauty of Heaven, streets of Gold, a place where there is not even a shadow of darkness. To step into a place filled with darkness. To be laughed at, rejected, mocked and whipped. Finally to die on a cross just to reach them. That took a lot of Pain.

- Comfort has taken more believers out of God's will then drugs or alcohol.

2. Laziness, Busyness and the Pleasures of Life

- because of being Lazy or Busy, we do not read or pray. Because we don't read and pray, we are not filled with Faith. Because we are not filled with faith, we are not going to step out on something that we don't believe in.

Pleasures of Life Dull our spiritual senses if we are not careful to be watchful.

3. More concerned about Self, Image, Reputation

- Become concerned with what people will think of us.

- If self is on the throne, you will be more concerned about how you feel or what people think of you. If Jesus is on your throne

you will be more concerned about what he feels and what He thinks of you.

- you will be able to handle rejection because its not about you.

- you will be able to do God's will whether your recognized or not, cause its not about you.

self is the ultimate enemy.

4. Jesus became too familiar/common

- Do you remember your first fire?, how zealous you were about and for Him.

- we have gotten over our own salvation.

can you remember the time before you gave your life to Christ, how lost you were and how you felt?

- If Jesus and His Salvation is not alive in us, how can we share that with others.

5. Lost sight of Eternity

- heaven and hell

Insecurity often leads to eating problems, depression, social anxiety, codependency and even self-harm.

Insecurity is idolatry.

“For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:13

Insecurity leads to insanity.

Insecurity vs Identity:

Insecurity is into titles, identity is into towels.

Insecurity is into competing, identity is complete

Insecurity focuses on weight, identity focuses on worth

Insecurity looks in bathroom mirror, identity looks in the mirror in the word

Insecurity is jealous, identity is joyful

Insecurity is focused on issues, identity is focused on intimacy

Insecurity is into self-pity, identity is into self-care

Insecurity live out labels, identity live out of love

Insecurity hides from God, identity hides in God

Insecurity feels abandoned, identity walks as adopted

Insecurity leads to idolatry, identity leads to inheritance

1. When you have a reason to feel insecure, you have a choice not to feed on insecurity.

Your paradise has a parasite. Everyone’s does.

It’s not the tree that made Adam feel shame, eating from it did that.

Focusing - Feeding - Feeling

2. When you don’t eat from tree of life, you end up wearing fig leaves.

Wealth, position, anointing, and good looks can’t cure insecurity…all these are leaves.

Fig leaves can’t fix insecurity, feeding on the fruits can.

Intimacy with Holy Spirit hurts insecurity.

When you are aware of God - you lose attention to self.

When you’re aware of self - you lost attention of God.

Your body came out of dirt. You came out of God.

Before you ask for what you need, thank God for what you have.

3. When you can’t remove the tree of knowledge, you must resist it.

Forbidden tree has a voice.

Devil will use your issue to question your identity.

Devil will use your situation to doubt your revelation.

Devil will use your condition to overthrow your position.

Devil seeks to question in the dark what God revealed in the light.

Every Christian has the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit does not have every Christian!

Every Christian has relationship with Holy Spirit but not every one has intimacy!

We get the Holy Spirit with salvation, the Holy Spirit gets us by surrender.

Lame Christian is one who has legs but lives crawling!

Birth gives you legs but walking requires practice, mentors and time

Salvation gives you Holy Spirit but walking in him takes time, practice, and mentors

1. To walk in Holy Spirit you need to talk to Holy Spirit

He is not a force but a friend!

He is not tongues but a person! Feelings, mind, and will.

He is no less of person just because he has no body!

He is not fire, dove, oil, or manifestations.

2. Walking in Holy Spirit does not make better than you it makes me better than me

When I walk - I will not fulfill lust of the flesh (Gal.5:16)

When I walk - fruit is developed as result of intimacy (Gal.5:22-23)

Don’t work on your issues, work on your intimacy!

3. You were given legs not to sit in church to walk in your calling to win your generation.

Platform has a purpose.

Career is decided, calling is discovered.

Career is natural, calling is supernatural.

Career can change, calling does not.

Career is the platform, calling is the purpose.

Holy Spirit did not come to make you Pentecostal but to make us into missionaries.

Church is fueling station not final destination.

We are not called to win arguments but to win souls. Don’t try to clean the fish until u catch the fish! Don’t disciple corpse!

The world says “fall in love”. The Word says “walk in love”

The world says “find the right person”. The Word says “be the right person”

The world says “love is a feeling”. The Word says “love is a willing”

The world says “marry the person you love”. The Word says “love the person you marry”

Don’t fall into love, grow in love. Everything that falls gets broken and everything that grows gets stronger.

1. Lust is pleasure focused; love is person focused

2. Lust grasps; love gifts.

3. Lust feels like love

4. Lust is passion outside of principles; love is passion within principles.

5. Lust needs bad friends; love needs good mentors

6. Lust seeks isolation; love seeks community.

Isolation leads to fornication.

Relationship level:

a. Spiritual

b. Social (share activities, not feelings)

c. Emotional (share feelings, not nudes)

d. Physical (sexual)

7. Lust forces sex; love initiates marriage.

Lust buys a condom. Love buys a ring. Lust will take you to the back seat of the car. Love will take you to the front of the church. True love waits. Love is patient. Love is kind. Lust is not patient and not kind.

8. Lust hurts; love heals.

9. Lust does not last; love grows with time.

10. Lust gets punished; love gets rewarded

If you hurt others - REPENT.

If you were hurt - RECOVER.

The first time it happened you were a victim but now you’re a volunteer. Holding on to unforgiveness is like setting yourself on fire hoping that the person who hurt you will burn.

God will turn your wounds into scars and scars into stars.

Person who is obsessed with you will become possessive of you.

Person with Obsessive Love:

1. Can’t live without you

2. Demands unreasonable amounts of your time

3. Ignores other aspects of their own life to you

4. Shows jealously toward anything that competes for your attention

5. Checks up on you when you’re not together

6. Begins with intense emotions, flattery and attention but slowly turns into an unhealthy possessiveness of you

1. Prince will lose his pace if he becomes a prisoner of his passion. 1 Th.4:3-5

Animals are bodies without spirit - ruled by sexuality

Angels are spirit without bodies - don’t have sexuality

We are spirits with bodies - rule sexuality

2. You can’t control what gets passed on to you but you are responsible for what you activate. Judges 16:4-5

Behind every tomato is a farmer.

Behind every Delilah is a Philistine.

Behind every sexual sin is an evil spirit.

Demonized is not ownership but control.

Where you are out of control, demons are in control.

Even though demons can’t have Christians but Christians can have demons.

3. Submit your biology to theology. James 4:7;

4. Overthrow nature by the way of nurture. 1 Corinthians 15:33; 2 Timothy 2:22

Avoid fake friends with crazy advice.

Avoid pretending something you’re not.

Avoid avoiding community & mentorship.

You are not ready to MINGLE if you are not truly SINGLE. Your relationships will be as good as you are. Singleness is not state of being unmarried; it’s state of being whole


Delight in God before you start dating. Get so lost in God that the other person has to look for God to find you.

Relationship with God makes you WHOLE; romantic relationships reveal your HOLES. 
Relationship with God SATISFIES; romantic relationships MAGNIFY.
 Relationship with God COMPLETES you; romantic relationships will COMPLIMENT.

Without devotional life you will seek out of DATING what only can be found in DELIVERANCE. Without real relationship with God - ROMANCE turns into REHAB. 
Without real relationship with God - we seek in DATING what can be found only in DELIVERANCE.

2. Before God will bring you an Eve, devil will offer you a monkey

Monkey is someone who don’t share your values and faith

Monkey is someone you are praying for God to fix

Monkey is someone you date out of desperation and impatience

Don’t flirt to convert (2 Corinthians 6:14)

When you are unequally yoked you can’t perform the task set before you; instead of working together, you will be at odds with each other.

3. God is preparing you for the person He is preparing for you

Sexual sleep wakes you up spiritually. Your teen years are your tithe to God (Psalm 90:10; Song of Solomon 2:7). Teenagers, even if dating around does not wreck your purity it will definitely waste your potential.

Sexual sleep is not just the time when you focus on God; it's when God is focused on you.

God can’t do a surgery on your character without sexual anesthesia

You are ready to date when you are ready for marriage. If you are dating without intent of getting married is like shopping without money, you will either end up unsatisfied or with something that does not belong to you.
