We just celebrated our best friend’s birthday in a grand way.  Celebrations are great, but honoring one reveals the content of a sincere heart.  And the best way to honor Jesus is to serve others as he did, to be as concerned for others as he was, and to keep his legacy of friendship alive and thriving

John 15:11-15 "I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you". 

I want to say to those who this season does not bring joy, who feel lost, who can’t shake the grieving of a loved one, and who feel all alone,  God is with you.  I know those words just seem like just something nice to say, but it is the truth, he has promised to never leave or forsake you.

Set aside some time and begin to talk to him, confide in him, and share your innermost thoughts with him.  

Yes, he is  God who knows everything already, but he is also not a God who forces Himself or intrudes, when we open up to him we are inviting him into a relationship with us. Just try it for yourself, there is absolutely no risk at hand.  You can always go back to not talking to God, but if you never start you will never know all that is available to you.

Each and every one of our lives have an expiration date. Until that date, you have a choice to thrive or to sit idle and mold like aged cheese, where people have to cut away the mold of grief, anger, disappointment, and so on to even be able to be in your company.  

Life throws curve balls, we lose loved ones, and sometimes we just can’t seem to make sense of anything.  

\Just know that if woke up this morning, it is for no other reason than God is not through with you yet, he has some things to show you, and he has some things he has purposed for your life that only you can do. And you are not alone, you have a friend in Jesus and if you trust him, he will put some physical friends and godly brothers and sisters in your life.  

You have a friend.

Merry Christmas!
It is my prayer that the spirit of Christmas fills your homes and your hearts and that today you honor Jesus above all things.

I want to say to some, don’t allow yourself to discount the spirit or the meaning of Christmas by getting caught up in the semantics of whether Jesus was actually born today.  For it doesn’t matter whether he was born in June, July, September, or November. 

The fact is He was born and based on that truth alone we celebrate.

It amazes me that people will buy a dog, not know the actual date of the dog’s birthday, but will acknowledge and even celebrate the anniversary of the day they bought the dog home, but when it comes to Jesus, they want to be specific.

Let’s be specific today about the fact that he was born, let's be specific in acknowledging that He walked this earth as an undisputed example of righteousness.  Let's be specific in reverencing the Word of God which boasts, what a friend we have in Jesus.

Let’s be specific and intentional today about what Christmas is really about and who the guest of honor really is.

This collaboration of songs is a musical tribute to the Kings of Kings,  and has been specifically arranged to first and foremost shift mindsets, and revamp atmospheres,  reminding us that Christmas this grand celebration is not about us and most of all this collaboration intentionally gives Jesus the glory and honor due Him,

You will hear some traditional and non-traditional Christmas songs and then some songs you would never even think to include in this glorious celebration, with every lyric uplifting and celebrating baby Jesus.  Let each song edify your spirit. Let is rhythm boost your celebration and again Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus.

Jesus was His birth name, His legal name, the name Joseph was commanded to give Him.  The name Jesus was told to give Him was tied to His assignment of saving people from their sins.

Notice the scripture reads, “and they shall call his name Immanuel, which translates to God with us”.  Immanuel was is what we would refer to as a “nickname”.

Nicknames tend to be tied to one’s character, who they are at the core of their being. And in some instances, only those closest to a person refers to them by their nickname and then there are other who only know a person by their nickname.

Jesus’ nickname, is one that certainly gives clarity to the core of His being, the essence of HIs being, God with us. Jesus’ nickname is also one that only those closest to him refer to by their nickname.

We were all born with an assignment, Jesus because He was God manifested in the flesh, knew His assignment and the depth of that came with His assignment.  You and I come to know our assignment through our maturing in the word of God and developing a sincere relationship with God that rests on our faith in who He is as the Alpha and Omega, the one who is the beginning and the end.

As we get caught up in the festivities of the celebration of Christmas, I ask that you pause for just one moment and answer two questions for me.  To what extent are you willing to go to know and fulfill your God-ordained assignment?  And how are you preparing yourself to be able to fulfill that assignment in a way that gives God glory?

Your life is a gift, the greatest gift you will ever receive, there is no other gift that can compare.  However, to properly care for and maintain your gift it will require that you offer it up to God in the name of Jesus.

The baby who we are celebrating, his life was spared and He went on to do great things and fulfill his purpose because of those who listened to and yielded to the Word of God.

Whatever you are going through, whatever obstacles you are trying to overcome, whatever doors you have been praying to open, understand this your life can be spared, enlightened, heightened,  and your ordained purpose, fulfilled if you would gift yourself with the presence of God and yield to His voice.

Today’s topic, “not a white man’s religion” may seem a bit radical. Still, it is a truth that needs to be elevated as there are religions, sects, and cults rising up on the premise that Christian doctrine is a white man’s religion.  And this falsehood is leading our youth astray and causing people to denounce the very principles of the will and ways of God.

And because we are called as believers to be light in “darkness”, as one who is commissioned by God to spread the gospel and teach truth, I cannot let this falsehood go unaddressed.

There are references made about the widespread depiction of Jesus as a white man with blonde hair and blue eyes, I will address this in depth a little later.  

It amazes me that all of the opposition to Christianity never has anything to do with the will or Word of God or the ways and examples Jesus set while walking the earth.

Success, we pray for it, sacrifice for it, and dream of it, but rarely do we prepare our hearts, mind, and souls to deal with it.  God wants all of his children to bask in the glory of success, however, we have to learn the dynamics of it, and align it with the will of God so that we can stake a claim on "success" and the Kingdom of Heaven.

Have you ever met someone so poor that all they have is money?

Matthew 6:25-34 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.  Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

As children of God, we carry our father's name and must stand firm on a commitment to do nothing, say nothing, act or react in any manner that taints or brings shame to his name.  We are also charged to hold others accountable, and not allow anyone to use our father's name for selfish agendas.

Those who carry the name of God should bear fruit that aligns with the fruit of His spirit which includes: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control

"Fruitfulness", has nothing to do with the number of children you have or the size of your bank account, nor how many people like you. None of that impresses God. Fruitfulness has to do with the quality of one's life as it aligns with the will and plan of God. 

We ought to strive for fruitfulness to be our primary goal, making sure that the fruit of the spirit of Christ is the core ingredient in our spiritual diet, what we feed to and breed from our soul. 

You know, those who are successful with dieting are usually successful because they find healthier more nutritional options to replace foods that have no nutritional value.  
We must do the same thing with our spiritual diets

Replace selfishness with love

Replace grumbling with joy

Replace gossip with a spirit of peace

Replace anxiousness with patience

Replace greed with kindness

Replace wickedness with goodness

Replace ungodliness with faithfulness to God

Replace arrogance with gentleness 

Replace promiscuity with self-control.

I feel the need to close with John 15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.  He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me? “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.

I ENCOURAGE EACH OF YOU THIS MORNING TO STRENGTHEN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THROUGH HIS "WORD" SO THAT BEARING OF FRUIT IS A CONSTANT IN YOUR LIFE.
