  • The Reality of Salvation & Hell

We Want To Hear From YOU!

There are many who dispute the reality of “hell”, even some Christian denominations and other religions who denounce “hell” proclaiming,  “a  loving God would never send us to hell”.  And they are absolutely right.  God wouldn’t and He doesn’t, Jesus the flesh of God was sacrificed for the sole purpose of us having access to salvation.

The price Jesus paid on the cross bought a ticket into heaven and the ticket remains at the “will call” window, awaiting each of us to pick it up. But some of us choose not to pick up the ticket that has been paid for, choosing to attempt to explore a different journey into eternity.

Where the problem arises is that any different route, any different ticket other than the one Jesus paid for is a one-way ticket in the opposite direction of the Kingdom of Heaven.  So “no God doesn’t send anyone to hell, every occupant in hell will have arrived there based on their own decisions, not God’s.

GOD’s desire is not for anyone to suffer the eternal torment of hell (Jeremiah 29:11).   GOD doesn’t send people to hell, people purchase their own tickets, with currency entitled, “disobedience”. Submission to the will and ways of GOD is an insurance policy protecting us from eternal torment.

The worst case scenario is if Christianity is wrong, the only thing anyone will have lost was a life absent of being conformed to the ways of the world. But if Christianity, heaven, and hell are true, one will lose everything including their soul.

  • Hey Soldier

We Want To Hear From YOU!

You know the perfect metaphor for “Christian life” is the enlisting of one in the army.  Upon enlistment, the soldier immediately surrenders control of his or her life.  Where the enlistee lives, when he or she moves, what clothing they wear, how they behave, and what he or she will do, are all given over to the commanding officers to decide.

Being a Christian requires the same level of surrender. And the surrender is voluntary because no one is ever drafted, as a soldier in God’s army service is always voluntary.  However, the term of service is not limited to 4 years, 10, or 20 years, it is a lifetime commitment.  Without surrendering a soldier is not useful to the army and a Christian is not useful to God.

We tend to not totally surrender our lives to Christ because we don’t want to sacrifice our civilian pursuits, you know the things we possess, the habits we have acquired, or the attitudes we have come to live by.

2 Timothy 2:4 tells us “ No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him”.

We insist on doing things our way while enlisted in God’s army which is equivalent to insubordination, in the actual military penalties could include: dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of pay and allowances, and/or. confinement of up to 3 years, but because of God’s grace and mercy we have not suffered any penalties.  He won’t discharge us, as he promises to never leave or forsake us, he continues to provide for us and does not restrict or revoke our free will with any confinement.

The world in which we live presents many civilian attributes to pursue, and please know God has no problem with us having stuff, even position and titles.  What He, our commander and chief has a problem with is when we allow stuff, positions, and titles to determine, “righteousness”.

There is no righteousness outside of the will and ways of God.  Contrary to popular belief, any valued truth is godly, for God is truth as His word proclaims, I am the truth and the life.

The first command in God’s army is in Matthew 6:33 which reads, seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness.  I encourage you to take inventory of what you pursue, what you value, and where your faith lies and then fall in line as a soldier.

  • Winning vs Conquering

We Want To Hear From YOU!

Know and understand that just because we ask over and over for a thing and finally, God allows us to have it.   It's not necessarily a blessing from God.

God will extend His permissive will when we bask outside of alignment with Him and when we lose faith and patience waiting on the manifestation of His perfect will.

God’s permissive will is often perceived as a win because one gets what they desired, but only in God’s perfect will is their true victory.  Conquerors don’t settle they only pursue God’s perfect will

The people of Israel thought they had won, and received a blessing from God when Saul became their King because their wish was granted.  And I say wish granted as opposed to prayers answers because prayers reverence the will and ways of God.

“Winning” is just a temporary fix to a challenge and repetitive wins of the same challenge are what is required to maintain the status of winner, while “conquering” is one and done.

You may face challenge after challenge, but when you “conqueror” something, you don’t keep competing at the same level or playing the same game.

  • CHANGE: Part of God's Divine Plan

We Want To Hear From YOU!

We have to be careful not to resist change.  Resistance to change is known to invoke negativity.  Those who refuse to accept change will find themselves in a state of depression, rebellion, and dealing with insecurities, bouts of jealousy, resentment, anger, and even rage.

No one is exempt from the continuous pattern of change, everyone has either just endured significant change, currently dealing with change, or is about to enter into a season of change.

Going against change is equivalent to trying to go “DOWN” an “UP” escalator.  It can be done but it's exhausting and will never get to the greater awaiting on the next level of your life.

The only thing we can be assured that never changes is God and His Word.  In the midst of change, whatever the change, be it good or bad, happy or sad, immediate or slow, our only true navigating source is God who is unchanging.

The only consistency we should long for is a love for Him and our faith in His Word.  One of the hardest scriptures to accept regardless of what life brings is Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.”

\It’s through change that we receive salvation, revelation, experience growth, obtain wisdom, and can truly embrace the awesomeness of God

I used to hear my grandmother and her friends refer to something or someone who changes like the weather”.  There is so much depth in that old saying because change like the weather can bring storms and sunshine.

We have seen that weather can bring tragedies and even take lives, but the weather is also the reason why we have the beautiful gift of seeing a rainbow and flowers bloom.

Ecclesiastes 3:1  There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.  Life is a compilation of changes, reactions, choices, and decisions. CHANGE… expect it, embrace it and find excitement in it.

  • The Election Days Away - GOD is counting too

We Want To Hear From YOU!

We are in a unique political climate.  Never before has this nation seen such a divide and such discord amongst our leaders.  And with this mantle of ministry on me, I would be remiss if I didn’t address what is on the minds of so many right now, as the Word of God is our life manual meant to be the staple that guides us through the most difficult challenges and issues in our lives.

Let me make this very clear this morning;  Democrats are not perfect, and Republicans are not perfect.  And please note there are just as many Christian Democrats as there are Christian Republicans and true Christians don’t have to continuously make a public announcement, there are so many hypocrites and false prophets, the Bible tells us “you will know them by their fruit”.

It’s a person's fruit that determines their walk with God, not their proclamation.  We are to follow the example of Christ who looked at the heart of a person and had compassion for the people.

Romans 14 tells us that we will have to stand before God and give an account.  Don’t just vote but cast a ballot that is pleasing God.

  • The Secret To Being Blessed

We Want To Hear From YOU!

You know sometimes life comes at us fast and hard.  It seems like as soon as we settle one issue another arises.  And in the midst of our personal lives, world issues seem to cause us additional stress.  We find ourselves constantly looking for blessings from God, some form of relief, a restart, or a new path.

What I am here to tell you is that the secret to being blessed is hidden in your desire to be a blessing.  I know you are saying, I don’t have anything to give anyone to be a blessing to them.  For a moment I want you to set aside what the world has us programmed to view blessings as.

Your attitude can be a blessing, your act of forgiveness is a blessing, your words of encouragement are a blessing, and when you invest quality time in helping someone reach their goals that is a blessing.

God really has no reason to bless us if our lives don't magnify His glory.  God is not into pacifying and gratifying what only pleases us as individuals.

In Hebrews 13:2 the scripture tells us “not to forget to show hospitality to strangers for by doing so some have shown hospitality to angel without knowing it”

  • The Holiness of Harmony

We Want To Hear From YOU!

An anonymous writer once wrote Where there is righteousness in the heart there is beauty in the character.  And where there is beauty in the character there is harmony in the home.  When there is harmony in the home there is order in a nation

(Eph. 5:19) tells us in no uncertain terms how we should live as it read “making melody in your heart to the Lord”.  In the midst of the craziness in this world, check your response, check what you initiate and participate in and ask God to show you what is not creating a melody that is pleasing to him.

  • Order My Steps

We Want To Hear From YOU!

We struggle with giving anyone that measure of control over our lives even God.  When we say Lord, order my step that is complete submission to the will and ways of God, even when you can’t see the road ahead, he has you traveling on.

The lyrics to the song say, “lead me guide, every day, teach me, and while you are working help me be still.   Oftentimes, we know God is working but we are inclined to want Him to hurry up and we see what we think is a much easier path.

When then become tempted to start meddling in God’s business, disrupting His plan as if we could honestly know better than him.  Some of you listening to me right now, need to shout right now, Lord while you are working help me be still.

Psalm 46:10 tell us to be still and know that I am God

Sincere faith in God trust that regardless of what it looks like God is working it all out for our good.  Sincere faith in God has made peace with the 23rd Psalm which declares the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want he maketh me to lie down in green pastures he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Don’t let your faith in God become waivered and disrupt His green pastures or cause wave in the waters he has called to be still.

  • God Heard Your Prayer

We Want To Hear From YOU!

God hears our prayers.  We tend to think our prayers are going unanswered when God didn’t grant our wish, our way.  The truth is every prayer you ever uttered has been answered.  Always be mindful that God doesn’t grant wishes, His priority is the building of His Kingdom, so each and every request that comes before Him, it’s not that He doesn't want us to have the desires of our hearts, He needs to be able to see how our request fit into His Kingdom plans.

So some prayers are answered with a yes, with a no, with a wait, or with a not now, but they are all answered.  The best way for our prayers to be manifested requires us to align our desires and our ways with His will and His Word.

The spouse you have been praying for,  how will your marriage magnify the Kingdom of God?

The job you have been praying for how will that job and or your income magnify the Kingdom of God?

How will the house you have been praying about magnify the Kingdom of God?

God heard your prayer.  I want to close with Matthew 6:33 which read seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

  • The Glory of Discernment

We Want To Hear From YOU!

When we make a conscious decision to not be around someone because of their lifestyle, behavior, or habits, that is not “judging”, that is discernment which is rooted in wisdom.  Which is supported by 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.

Discernment brings clarity, and true perception, whereas judgment, is done to soothe egos and make comparisons that feed on negative perceptions and outcomes.
