I Hate It But I Love It

This week, Kat and Jocelyn are unexpectedly charmed by THE PRINCESS DIARIES! Wow, it's tough not to write SIM City. Anyway! This week we're talking about the adaptation of SIN CITY, a movie that was truly: of a time! We chat about great cameos, people who aren't getting the assignment, and at least one performance that just isn't working. Califooorniaaaaa, Californiiaaaaa, here we coooooome (in a bad way), cause we're talking about THE WIZARD! We discuss a super grim and cynical plot, two moments that truly made Jocelyn LOL, and wonder what the hell Christian Slater's part was supposed to be. This week, we're talking about the 1997 flop Alien: Resurrection! This week, we're talking about the Tom Cruise kinda-flop-kinda-career-fixing Knight and Day. Kat gets mad about the title, Jocelyn gets mad about how Cameron Diaz has nothing to do but scream, and both of us agree that a plot that involves multiple instances of drugging is BAD AND NO. This week, we're talking about The Transporter -- a movie that only WISHES it was The Beekeeper. We chat about an inciting incident that is NEVER explained, truly deranged musical choices and ASMR oil fights. This week we talk about one from the vaults of film history: PICTURE PERFECT! This week we discuss a true classic: WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY! We talk about how this is both the definitive version of Willy Wonka (and he also kinda sucks), how the songs all feel like an afterthought, and how much we love Veruca Salt. This week we're discussing the inspiring coming of age movie DEAD POETS SOCIETY! We stand on tables (not really) to proclaim our love for this cast, wonder why Keating decided to teach at this school, and seriously question some (many) of his methods. This week, we're chatting about the not-technically-a-flop-but-still-has-flop-energy film EDGE OF TOMORROW! We discuss the necessity for new alien design, the firewall that stops us from asking questions about Tom Cruise, and discuss our favourite topic: what it's like to be married to Ben Affleck.
