As two 30 something single girls, there are definitely times where we wish we knew our future. And today's episode is all about the question of what if you did? If you knew that your future as a single person did not include marriage at all, would you act think or operate differently? This is a question that came from a recently stumbled upon TikTok video, and we thought it was a doozy. We know we would all love to say that we wouldn't be operating differently, but we all know that in some way, it's a damn lie. We discuss this very intriguing question and have a very candid conversation about how we would operate differently in our own lives. We also touch on looking at marriage as part of the journey vs the goal, how wanting to find a partner really does impact different areas of our lives, and getting married young; yes or no. It's an episode that takes a lot of twist and turns, but we encourage you to sit back and enjoy the journey, pals. And of course, let us know your thoughts! If you knew your future, would it change your present? https://linktr.ee/imeanidkpodcast
Raise your hand if you have ever been personally victimized by someone else's happiness? Okay, we are being dramatic, but sometimes it can definitely feel that way. Todays episode is all about how to not compare and "hate" while on your journey. We love this topic because while we are in our single girl journey, we know comparison happens at every stage in life. And of course we all know we shouldn't compare, but it's something that our hearts have a hard time understanding. So rather than just tell you why comparison never works, we discuss some practical ways of how not to compare and choose to enjoy the journey you are on even if it's not where you thought you might be in life. And believe us, it's definitely not easy to stop the eye rolling every time you see another engagement, wedding, promotion, baby, etc but we are committed to doing better and hope you are too, besties!

Hello besties! And welcome to the first episode with a GUEST HOST! Jackie is out of town, so we asked friend of the pod, Fatema - food blogger extraordinaire to join sana on this week's episode! She lets us in on all the secrets of being a blogger/influencer. We talk about how she got started, the bad and the good of being a food blogger, and how no matter what you're posting on the internet, haters will always find something to criticize. Fatema also shared her hopes for the future of her influencer life, and the energy and time it really takes to make it happen. We love the behind scenes look she gives, and best of all - she shares her "Best Of" recommendations. It's a great episode that you and your little tum tum don't want to miss! https://linktr.ee/imeanidkpodcast
Why is it that men like to point the finger at women for all their relationship problems? Todays episode was inspired but just that - a man who left an ESSAY of a comment on our YouTube channel describing why women can't find a man. And besties, when we say essay, we mean a damn essay! While we appreciate the time and energy poured into the comment, we have some bones to pick with it. We break it down, discuss it's various points, and what we agree and don't agree with. We discuss the theme of "fairytale indoctrination," marketing a fantasy, and why we all need to stop pointing the finger and start looking inward. It's an interesting comment that made for an interesting episode. To read the original comment, head to our last episode on our YouTube page. We would love to hear what you think of the comment, babes! Just be sure to set aside half your day to read it lol.

We also discuss our worst dating app experiences and the lessons we've learned. We would love to hear your thoughts too, babes! Best experiences? Worst experiences? Let it all out! We have a reached a milestone besties! Your favorite podcast has reached 30 episodes! And like a true millennial, there's no better way to celebrate than to talk about other people's drama and problems. Today we discuss our fave reality show Love is Blind. We get into the 5 couples that made it out of the pods and all the chaos that had ensued thus far. We also breakdown some issues on the show that are definitely seen in real life, like choosing the drama girl over the wifey material, the TWO mean girl villains who keep playing young girl games, and of course our predictions of who will actually say "I do." It's definitely a fun one that you don't want to miss!

Have you ever been incredibly hurt when ghosted? Seem to always "attract" unavailable men? Or maybe you know you deserve more but just can't seem to choose it for yourself? Well then this episode is for you, you! Today we discuss Jackie's therapy journey thus far and the way trauma from our childhood/adolescence can show up in our dating choices as adults. We talk about validation, worth, self love/respect and how when these are missing in our lives, they can really do a number on us and our romantic choices. We also touch on how instead of running straight back to the apps after a breakup, maybe you should take a beat and do some inward reflection. It's 2023, and while there are a lot of things wrong in the world, the one thing that's going right is the acceptance of therapy, mental wellness, and healing. So grab some tissues, wine and whatever other emotional support object you need and get ready to hear some hard truths. Cause it's time to go from sad bitch to thriving bitch, besties!
