  • Episode 48 | Sexy Bad Babies
This week’s episode was recorded on December 6th, 2015.
Hosts Mike, Zander, and Tia talk their comic picks (Ms. Marvel #2, Monstress #2, and Secret Wars #8) followed by a few of the books they read in the past week or so. There’s something about cats at one point, but the big focus for the week is about comic book based/adapted TV and movies. It’s a lot of fun.

  • Episode 47 | Chla-mutie-a
This week’s episode was recorded on November 29th, 2015.

On this week’s episode, Nick, Paul, and Mike started the episode talking about their comic picks for the week then ended up talking about what they read in the last week–which was a lot. There’s talk of The Dark Knight Three: The Master Race #1, and they ended up leading ourselves into a conversation about one shots.

  • Episode 46 | A hard sell for Secret Infinity
This episode was recorded November 22nd, 2015.

Hosts Nick, Jon, and Paul chat comics for the week (as per usual), what they read (as per usual), and (gasp!) something new: What keeps you reading ongoing comics. There’s a distinct difference in indie ongoing books (as Jon mentions, Saga), and Big 2 books–in Paul and Nick’s case, Batman. Shenanigans are had, and Zander makes a guest appearance in the post-credits.

  • Episode 45 | Where do you get your comic news?
This episode was recorded on November 15th, 2015.

Mike, Brian, and Nick get sort of distracted on Star Wars discussion this week, but manage to chat about what they read this week and their comic picks for this week (Wrath of the Eternal Warrior #1, Rat Queens #13, and Extraordinary X-Men #2). Distractions aside, the focus of this week’s episode was around comic news–particularly where they get it from and why. Lucky for you, our hosts have varying backgrounds and drop a ton of links (see below).

  • Episode 44 | That’s a Bingo!!
This week’s episode was recorded on November 8th, 2015.

Hosts Mike, Nick, and Paul chat forever about what they’ve been reading, then finally get to their comic picks for the week: Southern Bastards #12, Descender #7, and The Autumnlands: Tooth & Claw #7. But this week’s focal topic is about comic book colorists. What makes a good colorist? And who are some good colorists?

  • Episode 43 | The Dissection of “Issue vs. Trade”
This week’s episode was recorded on November 1st, 2015.

Mike is out this week and in his stead, Nick, James, and Paul manage to create a pretty stellar episode of the podcast. The chat what they read since the last episode, and move into their comic picks: Ninjak #9, Monstress #1, and Justice League: Darkseid War: The Flash. The main topic of this week’s episode circles around how you distinguish between buying comics in single issue or buying comics in collected editions. This leads into a discussion about variant covers where Paul doesn’t care, James loves the covers for himself sometimes, and Nick goes insane for a small moment.

  • Episode 42 | We Support Gluten-Free Comics
This week’s episode was recorded on October 25th, 2015.

Hosts Mike, Nick, and James chat about their last two week’s worth of comics (and it’s a lot)… for a while. Like, a long while. But it’s all good. Their comic picks were quick (Island #4, Book of Death #4, The Spire #4). The focus for this week was all about pull list management. How do you manage your pulls? How do you start and end a subscription? What makes a book “worthy” of being read long term?

  • Episode 41 | Nick has a problem with online sales
This week’s episode was recorded on October 12th, 2015.

Hosts Mike, Nick, and Paul chat comics, NYCC, and their comic picks for the week (Constantine: The Hellblazer #5, Justice League United #14, Twilight Children #1). Nick has a problem with buying comics on comiXology… But this week focuses on how comic books are marketed and the pessimism attached to that and the question: Can you actually judge a book by its cover?

  • Episode 40 | Paul’s Twitter
This episode was recorded October 4th, 2015.
Hosts Mike, Nick, and Paul talk their lives… and also comics to start the show, then their comic picks (Paper Girls #1, Aliens/Vampirella #2). This week’s primary topics covered Dark Knight III and why classic books are hard to read for new readers, followed by a discussion on Comic Reading Rituals and why collecting comics is important to us. It was a good week.

This episode was recorded September 26th, 2015.

This week, Mike, Nick, and special guest Jeff (who’s audio is static-y, and we apologize!) talk comics and their comic picks for the week (Archie #3, They’re Not Like Us #8, and Material Volume 1). The gang discusses price points in comics–Justin Jordan talked about how $9.99 volume 1’s at Image sometimes don’t work. Following, BOOM! announced a 15% reduction in comics being produced and a new LCS program to keep #1s in their shop.
