New York Times’ Best Selling Author and host of Sounds Like A Cult Podcast, Amanda Montell, joins us to talk about the mob mentality that surrounds the opinions of Gilmore Girls, particularly the visceral reactions to Rory Gilmore’s character, on this, the day of her 40th birthday. Last year’s episode, Happy Birthday Rory Gilmore, Everybody Hates You prompted a wide spectrum of reactions from the fandom; where some backpedaled on their criticism to show her love as others defended their analysis based on her character’s choices.
