IAG Performance Thursday Thing!

Someone set Dewey off again! Todays episode is about DCCD. How it REALLY works, do's and don't, what situations to use what and why. Plus some great talks about 6MT swaps, positives and negatives to different year 6MTs, and even a small chat about nitrous lol.

Lot's of new people in the chat too so we got lots of new blood asking great questions! If you ever wondered about DCCD then THIS IS YOUR EPISODE!

We love nothing more than to have "pillars of the Subaru community" on the show and there aren't many who fit that bill more than Mike McGinnis from Innovative Tuning/Cobb Tuning. This man has been involved with everything from tuning all forms of race cars, help develop tuning platforms with Cobb and others, and built a bunch of the cars himself.

Today we chat about where he came from, a bit of his history, and where he thinks Subarus, or just ICE cars are going in the future. There are some great tuning stories in here, a lot of "back in the day talk, product development (even with some of out product), and, of course, some great Time Attack content.

Awesome episode and hopefully we can do more in the near future!

I know I say "this was great" a lot but I'm having a hard time saying anything but on this one. Paul is someone I've wanted to have on here for a long time. He's a mainstay in the Subaru community in southern California. He's a tuner, fabricator, and owner of Yimi Sport. Today we chat about where the name came from, what got him into tuning, Time Attack with Mark Jager's Unlimited car, and where him and I think Subarus are going in the future!

Honestly one of my favorite episodes we've done so far!

Today we chat with Zack, an R&D engineer at Fortune Auto about all sorts of coilover and suspension related topics! We go over a lot of myths and misconceptions about suspension and honestly learn quite a bit! If you ever considered coilovers for your car this is a great one!

This week we are joined by the man, the myth, the legend Mr. Rick Wilson from Dirty Racing Products (DRP). Where did DRP come from? How did they go from rally, to drag, and now to time attack? We hit on all of it and have a great time doing it!

This is a great "Subaru's vs the World" episode! It's great story!

This was a REALLY dense one. Dewey and Warranty chat with Graham at Boosted Performance Tuning about the switch from a Haltech to an Emtron ECU. If talk about crazy boost control strategies and advances tuning concepts are your jam THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU! Boogeyman is receiving an electronics overhaul to include an Emtron ECU, drive by wire, crazy wastegates and blow off valves, and a a PDM. This talk goes deep into why we decided to step up and some of the theory on what we are trying to do.

It's a long one but WELL WORTH IT!

What is an "STI" to you? Warranty and Dewey discuss what it is to them. Dewey also goes off about RA blocks and who they are for and who they are NOT for.

Last episode of 2023. We talk about plans for next year. Also we talk about the "tape list". What it is, and why it's important.

So the IDEA of this show was to talk about being awkward at Christmas parties when you are a "car person" and even more strange a "Subaru person" but it quickly spiraled into a psychanalysis on how our brains work and how we have literally no idea how to talk to normal people lol.

If you are a car person of ANY sort and you have been in this situation you will appreciate this one lol.
