Idalia touched down in Florida's Big Bend region on Wednesday morning as a powerful Category 3 hurricane -- the strongest hurricane to ever make landfall in the Apalachee Bay. Islanders on Maui are begging tourists to return in hopes their economy will start improving. Locals say the island is now deserted, with many small businesses closing its doors for good.
