Ideal Remake

We’re talking about SPIDER-MAN!!

Specifically we’re going to be discussing the scope of the Spider-Man homecoming world after Peter gets out of high school and goes to college. Why? Because guest Scott Carelli (@ScottCarelli) has some great ideas in mind for remaking some of Spider-man’s classic cinema villains!

This episode was originally recorded in July as a bonus episode for [one of] Scott’s podcasts: Spider-Man Minute! (@SpiderManMinute)

So get ready web-slingers because it’s about to begin!

It’s PODCASTIN’ TIME!!

We’re talking about Fantastic Four in the first of our Summer Movies in December!

But we’re not talking about an origin story, oh no. This is Harry Valentine’s (@hairyvalentine) ideal remake and we don’t NEED no origin story for the Fantastic Four! They’re the Fantastic Four! The very first Marvel superheroes!

So we got stretchiness, invisibility, fire powers, and… rocks! All going up against the biggest baddie of them all: GALACTUS!!

You guys, this is episode was so much fun!

Don’t worry! If this podcast goes down, we can always send Fat Jack back to get the smaller podcast!

It’s a shame there aren’t any puns that can be made with the title Splash. *sigh* oh well.

We’re talking about mermaids! We’re talking about comedies! We’re talking about uncomfortable gender politics! We’re talking about this Daryl Hannah and Tom Hanks movie from 1984!

Guest @GeneGabriel grew up with Splash, and Sam (@SamGasch) could not be more thrilled to have Gene help him remake it!

BOCCE BALLS!!!

My Fellow Americans…. is the title of this week’s movie!

It’s the story of a Republican vs. a Democrat, and then the two of them working together towards a common goal! I know, pure fiction, but that’s Hollywood for ya!

And to help Sam remake this 90s comedy, we have special guest Kevin Mostellar (@KevMostStellar)! Kevin is an amazing guest and a wonderful filmmaker. I know him from comedy, but he currently is an AWARD WINNING horror director.

And of course, comedy, horror, and politics all rely on the element…. of SURPRISE!!

And Sam Gasch (@samgasch) we’re talking about Inception with Sheena Santamaria (@sheenaes)! We talk about what makes for a good dream and a good movie ABOUT dreams!

And we also talk about how awesome it would be to Lucid dream all the time. These people have a GIFT, and they are WASTING it!!

You know what ol’ Jack Burton always says, it’s time for a new episode of Ideal Remake! This time it’s BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA!!

Joining me today are Robert Paterno (@Robert_Paterno) and Justus Perry (@herobotic)!

We talk about representation, what the movie does poorly and what it does well! We talk about monsters and magic and just overall ridiculousness! What’s that? Someone’s here?

Don’t worry everyone! It’s me! Gracie Law!

*sigh* And we talk about that too.
