MORTAL KOMBAAAAAAATTTT!!!!!

*cues music*

We’re talking about peak-90s here people! This is a movie based on a video game based on an actual realm-defending martial arts tournament that happened in the late-80s.

And to guide us through this madness we have Alex Caine (@acaine47) a fantastic comedian and wonderful nerd who knows just what we need to do to really make this 90s action camp work over 20 years later!

Don’t just spam the kick button and give it a listen!

It’s REX MANNING DAY!!

Yes, Rex Manning Day! The exciting day in every record stores life when a creepy old weirdo who was famous once comes in to sign things for people who admire them. And we’re talking about it!

Empire Records is absolutely a 90s classic! It is the distilled essence of the 90s boiled down and rendered into a movie. And I have Sam Schifrien (@samschif527) to thank for introducing me to it!

The Sam’s sit down and figure out the best way to damn the man, and save the empire!

You ever just sigh to yourself while gazing, longingly out towards the sea. Someone must be out there for you. They MUST be!

Uh… we mean… um…. ROMANCING THE STONE IS THIS PODCAST!!

Joined by Chuck Kovalik (@ChuckforSure) and Alex Foster (@GrumpaAlex) we three dudes think we’ve got what it takes to talk about one of the ultimate send-ups to the romance novel genre.

Eh, this whole thing was produced by Michael Douglas, so I’m sure we’ve got it!

SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE!! SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLLLLLLEEE!!

Anyway, now that we’ve got spoilers out of the way we’re talking about the movie Soylent Green! Soylent Green, aside from the casting of awful human Charlton Heston, is actually a really interesting movie. It dives deep into a full dystopic society which, I posit, is on the brink of final collapse.

And to join me as we walk down this light and airy road is my friend Daniel Gallai (@mctitan_84)! Daniel is an amazing actor that I had the privilege to perform alongside in a production of The Good Doctor last summer. He wanted to talk about this grim future, so I guess we’re gonna!

And whatever you do, don’t eat the Soylent Blue.
