You may already know the power of color and how different colors affect our mood. But there is so much more to the psychology of color and its impact on our environment. Today my guest in shine is Mehnaz Kahn, a color psychologist. Mehnaz assists people in creating an environment that supports them emotionally,  physically,  and psychologically.

Through a personality assessment, Mehnaz determines what shapes, colors and textures will work best in your home to assist you in achieving a state of well-being.  She tells us that if you aren't productive chances are you have colors in your environment that crush your productivity. The same holds true for sleeplessness. If you don't have the right colors to support you in your bedroom then a good night's sleep is most likely out of the question.

It's a fascinating subject based on science! It's not about trends, it's about who you are as a person and what makes you truly shine!

Get ready for my guest Felicity who is a magical healing human. I prefer to think of her as a gifted “Fairy” put on this earth to heal others with her divine gifts. Felicity is based in Leeds in the United Kingdom and is the founder of Ookushana, an energy healing school.

Awakening to her gifts of healing from the unseen realms occurred when she tuned in to heal her own body and soul. Her work on earth is to help others connect to the healer they are. My guest in shine today is Michelle Walsh, mother to 5 girls, former weight watchers coach and creator of a sacred space for women - The Village Well. Michelle believes deeply in taking time to nurture yourself, carving out time for you to become restored and renewed.

After a significant weight loss of 100 pounds and keeping it off for over 20 years, Michelle realized she had to take care of herself to be a more present  mom, wife and friend. She took her years of experience  coaching through Weight Watchers and created The Village Well where she gathers women to learn from others, and encourages them to release fear, judgement and own their authenticity.

We laugh and share and have a genuine conversation about mindfulness, the power of meditation and yes, how important it is to take time for YOU.

Deep faith keeps Amy going through grief, tragedy and adversity. 
My beautiful and shiny guest today, Amy Berry  has suffered many ups and downs, (perhaps more than many) and through the downslides in her life, Amy has found a way to honor and acknowledge her pain and move through the grief. We talk about what methods she uses to move forward and her spirit shines through the airwaves.


Amy is the best friend or big sister you need in your life. As a Wife, Mom to 3 boys, and dance fitness instructor she used to wonder if there was more to life than just sleepwalking through one day and into the next; so busy she didn't even notice where she was going. After enduring multiple traumas, Amy began searching for something more. She found a passion for inspiring and empowering women and created the Worthy Heart blog, believing that everyone is worthy of love. 

 Amy continued searching and learning and developed a four-step process to live The GOOD Life; focusing on God, Ourselves, Others, and Divine Happenings; which became the recently released The GOOD Life Journal. She firmly believes that by incorporating these four steps in our daily lives, everyone can have The GOOD Life and walk out their unique purpose boldly and confidently.

 My intriguing guest in this episode, David Strickel, began manifesting his desires as a very young child.  Growing up in poverty with a single Mom, he was able to bring material things into his life because he believed he could. What a wonderful conversation I had with the ever so cool Cate Schultz. She has had many careers - French teacher, business owner, pilot, flight school owner,  mother, life coach.....And now she has returned to what she loves - writing. Her first book was a work of fiction all about empowerment, titled Silent Sky. (I LOVED IT!)

Her newest book, is a gorgeous  guide for personal growth. An A,B,C book for grownups which is meant to help us tune and transform our lives in manageable daily steps. It's a primer indeed, and of course I couldn't help but sing the memorable Jackson 5 song ABC during our conversation.

We talk about her various careers and  how she discovered, while coaching others, that many people lacked the fundamental skills to help them find a trouble free life, and thus The Soul Primer, building blocks of the soul,  was birthed.

Did you know that the vagus nerve, when compressed may be the cause of major problems in our bodies?  Hey, we all want to shine and we need to feel our best to do so. Melanie Weller is my guest today and she is a Physical Therapist,  Board certified Orthopedic specialist and an athletic trainer who has become the go to specialist for decompressing the vagus nerve.

A compressed vagus nerve limits many of our abilities, in particular our voice and ability to be in complete alignment. Melanie even shares stories of how she has cured knee pain by decompressing this important nerve in our body.

Melanie has worked with hundreds of people to help them find their voice, heal their bodies and find their purpose, all by assisting them with aligning and decompressing the vagus nerve. She gives an exercise to try and I've been doing it lately, it brings me great calm, and I really feel a difference. Hope you enjoy and try it as you listen.

Welcome back to another episode in shine. Today my guest is Jim Cusumano who has had quite the life and has journeyed through several “life purposes.” Jim was a teenage rockstar, literally traveling the world with his band. Then he went on into the world of education where he garnered  a PHD in Physical Chemistry - knows all about quantum physics ( I can’t elaborate!), he has produced a major film, has started and led several successful Silicon Valley companies, is an author and now he and his wife own a Holistic Hotel in Prague. His latest book is the first in a series called “I Can See Clearly Now”, the rise of a supernatural hero. The book is what he calls “wisdom fiction”. I call it spiritual fiction - a book with meaning, fun, surprises, sort of a mystery - and an overall engaging read.

The most important message in the book is that we all need to find our true gifts, or what Jim calls our essence, and then share it with the world. Because life will be better if we find and follow our life purpose. Amen to that….I’m following my purpose of shining the light on those who are raising the vibration of the planet to help others shine their light. And you know what….it feels AWESOME!
