Whitney is joining us to talk about a specific story about what it is like being a woman who works in the video game industry. She will walk us through a story where her expertise on the company she worked for and the games she helps market was argued against and she left the frustrating conversation unable to convince the man on the other side of the conversation she was right. There will also be conversation around how we help bring marginalized voices to the table, the vulnerability it takes to stick up for yourself and your talents, and the emotional/mental labor that is involved when we are constantly asked to model to men how to not be misogynist and how we expect respect when it comes to the things we know.
