It must be said that I, along with the other thirty-seven members of the In Joke 2016 Podcasting Committee, argued at length about which parts to upload of last night's show. The engrossing chat with Luka Muller? The in depth discussion about Friendlyjordies? The next leg in Corey's marathon of podcast reviews? But in the end, we decided that this one was so polished and informative - not to mention humble - that we might as well just publish the whole thing! (Sans music, of course). Enjoy!
In Joke - we're serious about comedy
Listeners, let us be serious for a minute. Wednesday's American election outcome has caused significant and justified fear, anger, and frustration by people all over the world, both inside and outside the States.
That's where comedy comes in.
Comedy neutralises and counteracts the fearmongering and propaganda-spreading that people like Trump need to do anything. If everyone, from the most ignorant of politics to the leaders of the major superpowers, viewed the world through a comedic, gentle, jocular lense, then Trump won't be able to get anywhere, and the next four years will go by just fine. And, to help you use that sword of satire, is this latest review by Corey, as he looks at a variety of podcasts, all of which take a new humerous approach to an otherwise humourless wolrd event.

Even after our expert of improv, Lewy, gave us this thorough analysis and breakdown of this television milestone of a comedy sereies, we still don't know whose line it is, anyway.

There's nothing wonky about this review - except that it's in italics.

In this very exciting brand-new segment (with a very work-in-progress title), our own Ellen looks at a lesser-known film, and gives it a rundown in the context of a retrospective review. This week, she looks at another Allen: Woody Allen's 3,528th film, Cafe Society. Listen below.
