Making friends isn't always easy. Listen to Heather and Jamie discuss social anxiety and being known in this episode of Life in Motion.
Why is making friends so hard? Like, don't we all just want to be known? The desire to be seen, understood, and heard is hardwired in all of us. So why do we cringe at the idea of putting ourselves out there? Let's talk about it.
In this episode, Heather and Jamie lay out 3 challenges for people who are wanting to make friends:
Show up: Commit to showing up to the places you're invited to or stay committed to the class you're taking.
Journal: Take some time to reflect on what is causing you to feel negatively about putting yourself out there.
Practice: Saying "hello" to someone or making eye contact with the people around you.

The best types of friendships take time. Listen to Heather and Jamie discuss managing their friendship in this episode of Life in Motion.
We're not sure what it was but something about the last year made most people feel really lonely *sarcasm*. We absolutely know what it was—staying at home 24/7. It was hard on just about everyone in every area of life, but most specifically, in the relationship arena.
If you're new to Life In Motion, here's what you should know: this is a podcast where best friends, Heather George and Jamie Jobe, talk about life—the ups, the downs, and everything in between, even the things we're not supposed to talk about. This season, we're dialing in on making, managing, and molding close, personal friendships.

They talk about depression medication, loving the LGBTQ community, setting boundaries, and making friends!
