There is only one way to get through some of the circumstances that life throws at us. That way is Jesus. When we keep our eyes on the LORD, He reveals His purposes even while we're in the midst of those dark times in our lives. God is fully able to carry us through, we just need to walk in faith and allow Him to work it out.

The enemy loves nothing more than to keep us from prayer. Why? The Scriptures are clear...we war not against the flesh but against powers and principalities in the heavenlies. You see, we can have the greatest affect in the Kingdom of God by our prayer time. So, the next time you kneel down to pray, be diligent and don't allow and distractions to keep you from it.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of believer's out there that believe that grace is a license to sin. And we know this isn't true. In fact, consider the Strong's definition of the Greek word charis, which is grace. Grace is the divine influence upon the heart as reflected in the life. So, you see...grace is the power to obey...NOT disobey.

Perilous times require an introspective look at where your strength comes from. If during the struggles of this life, you draw your strength from yourself, you will be quickly defeated. The difficulties of this life require a supernatural strength...a power that comes from the Creator of the Universe.

As we just heard from Pastor JD, it's vitally important that we don't confuse meekness with weakness. Meekness has been defined as strength under control. Meditating on the strength and ability of the LORD brings confidence. When we're trusting in Him for the areas where we are weak, we will see Him come to our aid.

In these seemingly last days in which we live, we need to be about our Father's business...just like our Savior was when He was here on earth. Part of the Father's business is speaking the truths of His Word in love. Now, that doesn't always mean that people will hear these truths just by simply speaking them...but, we still need to be faithful.
