Look, I’m not going to sugar coat this, the idea of beef rib flavored potato chips could go completely off the rails in any number of ways. So when I set out to taste this one I was ready to metaphorically hold my nose. But here’s the thing, Lay’s of Taiwan actually nailed it. So complex and beefy. So very, very good. Makes me made that @Lays America doesn’t offer it here. Gotta go, my mouth is watering just writing about them.

Today, I check in on Hen of the Woods “A Touch of Smoke.” This company founded by chefs is trying to go about flavors a little differently than typical chip companies. For example, this here might be called a BBQ chip by others. But that lumps in with sweet, tomatoey, sugary chips which isn’t quite right. So, the question is, did they accomplish making a “BBQ” chip that taste of smoke with a little kick? Find out!

At long last, ladies and gentlemen, I’m taking on Ruffles All Dressed. Yes, many a Canadian hipster has asked me when I was going to review these and that day has come. Big shout out to @the_royal_nebula for sending these down south. Ironically, in the time it took me to get this tasting, All Dressed has started showing up on shelves all over town. Anywho, this one flavor supposedly encompasses Salt & Vinegar, Sour Cream & Onion, Ketchup, and BBQ. It’s a audacious flavor to be sure. So, does Ruffles pull it off? Find out!

It's back to Japan! Yes, it’s Yamayoshi’s Mentai Mayo Beef Potato Chips. Mentai is pollack roe usually mixed with mayonnaise as a sauce for, say, onigiri. Why they combined it with beef for the potato chip is a mystery to me. So, will we get roe, mayo, AND beef in one go? Find out!

Yes, the moment you’ve been waiting for (?), Lay’s Poland, Spicy Chicken in Action. Apparently there was a promo there wherein they associated certain flavors to movie genres. Today’s is action but there was also Chanterelles in Comedy (which, if I’m honest sounds like a documentary about a French comedy troupe from 1925 or something weird like that). Anywhoo, does Lay’s Poland pack a punch with their flavor endeavor or does it end up more akin to how Battleship Earth was to Sci-fi movies? Find out!

Back again with another awesome guest review. This time Jasreen reviews Trader Joe’s Chili and Lime Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips. Trader Joe’s usually does a pretty good job with flavor although not so much with heat (lookin’ at you, Ghost Pepper Potato Chips). So, how do these stack…er…roll up? Let’s find out!

I had to look up just what an Egg Prata was but I am familiar with fish curry. So, does F.EAST bring all the delicious complexity of curry to live on a potato chip?
