When life squeezes you, what comes out? If you squeeze an orange, you expect orange juice—anything else would be strange. The same goes for us. If we say we love Jesus and follow Him, but when pressure comes, something else pours out… it’s time to pause and take a closer look at what’s inside.

David faced the giant, and when life squeezed him, he immediately spoke of the victories God had already given him. His trust and confidence in the Lord overflowed. That’s what should be pouring out of us—faith, hope, and the testimony of God’s goodness.

The devil and his fallen angels are not afraid of the presence of God. In Job 1:7-8, Satan himself stands before the Lord, proving that simply being in God’s presence doesn’t make darkness flee. That’s why demons are cast out in the church—because they don’t just leave on their own.

Some things hold people captive because they’ve been given permission, whether knowingly or unknowingly. That’s why we must ask God for spiritual sight, ears to hear, and discernment to recognize and deal with what’s at work in our lives. The enemy doesn’t leave just because we show up before God—but when we stand in His authority, he has no choice.

Starting your day with Jesus changes everything. Whether it’s at the gym, at work, or at home, beginning with Him sets the tone for the entire day. Even something as simple as saying, “Good morning, Lord. Thank You for another day,” can shift your perspective and bring His presence into every moment.

Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and taking care of them honors God. Even in the gym, I find ways to keep my focus on Him—listening to worship music or sermons and sharing His love with those around me. It doesn’t have to be the gym, but wherever you start, let it begin with Jesus. It’s amazing how He’ll guide the rest.

If you’re struggling in an area, try filling your life with things that glorify God—listen to Gospel music, watch content that draws you closer to Him, and speak His truth over your life. Even for a short time, give it a try. What do you have to lose? Sometimes, the breakthrough begins with a simple shift in focus.

The anointing of the head with oil isn’t just a poetic image; it carries a powerful meaning. Shepherds would anoint their sheep with oil to protect them from flies that could lay eggs in their noses. If untreated, those eggs would hatch, tormenting the sheep until it harmed itself by bashing its head against a rock.

God does the same for us—His anointing protects us from the torment of lies, distractions, and spiritual attacks that try to invade our minds. But we must also take His Word, which is already in our hearts and mouths, and actively fill our minds with it. When God’s truth saturates our thoughts, it shields us from the traps that could lead us to harm ourselves spiritually.

It’s easy to think we’re walking in God’s will while ignoring the wisdom and correction He places right in front of us. We can be so focused on our own understanding or righteousness that we miss the people God sends to guide us back to His truth. Pride tells us, "God will show me," but humility listens to wise counsel and acknowledges when we’re off course. When someone lovingly corrects you with Scripture, pause and reflect—don’t shun the rebuke. God uses others to sharpen us, just as iron sharpens iron. True maturity isn’t being wise in our own eyes; it’s being willing to learn, grow, and align ourselves with His Word.

Excuses reveal what we truly prioritize. If we expect God to show up in miraculous ways on our terms, we’re likely to miss Him, because He doesn’t have to prove anything—His creation already testifies to who He is. When we seek Him, ask, and knock, He promises to meet us, but our hearts must be aligned with Him, not distracted by the temporary. If Jesus wanted to spend time with you, would He come first, or would you tell Him to wait? Our priorities reveal our hearts. Just like a car needs fuel to keep going, our spirits need to be refilled by spending time with God, whether through church, prayer, or time in His Word. You don’t have to, but without Him, you’ll find yourself spiritually stranded. For the weary and burdened, His rest is freely available—run to Him, and let Him restore you.

When someone stumbles or sins, the Bible gives us clear steps for addressing it—with love, humility, and the goal of restoration. Sadly, many bypass these instructions, choosing instead to shame and rebuke others publicly, often from behind a screen. This isn’t God’s way. We are called to approach our brother or sister privately, to speak truth in love, and to bring witnesses if needed. Public exposure is a last resort, not a first response. Let’s strive to correct with grace, remembering that how we handle others reflects our own walk with Jesus.

True love is found in Jesus, and it’s only in His presence that we can be filled with the strength to love others the way He did.
