If you can keep mindful of one simple fact,
That you were born Happy, which you can't counteract--
Then patient compassion can have an impact,
Allowing you to stay grateful even while being attacked.
The place you wanna get back to
in Balance and Growth,
of being Mindful and Grateful,
Compassionate and Understanding.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it agains
With Balance and Growth and such,
But as we age we forget
to practice it all that much.
Practice requires willpower and discipline,
To constantly develop that link,
To prevent being a Happy has-been
Wishing you’d taken the time to rethink.
you’re naturally Nice and accommodating,
Telling the truth without discriminating,
Being helpful and facilitating,
Which you may find endlessly invigorating.
Why be Mean to folks when you can be Nice instead?
You’ll be less likely to catch a kick to the head,
Which could go a long way in keeping you not dead,
Or raising your blood pressure every time you see red.
don’t have any fancy stuff, most of my stuff is old,
I have nothing encrusted in diamonds or made of 24 karat gold,
I never started a family, I don’t have pets, I only have stories yet untold,
And as much life as I have left in me to allow them to unfold.
And yet I maintain my Balance and Growth by being Mindful of one simple fact,
That we are all born Happy and can connect to it at any time, to be exact,
Though it requires patient concentration to be able to stay Grateful while being attacked,
But having Compassion and Understanding can have an absolutely profound impact.
Just that one little perspective adjustment can help focus you on Hope instead of Hate,
It can show you similarities instead of differences--even in people who make you irate,
It can attune you to music of the spheres and keep your Happy awareness up to date,
Just by thinking of Balance and Growth whenever you have a chance to speculate.
