In today’s episode we dive into the purpose of regret. What it teaches us, and how we can use it to free ourselves and move in a direction that is more aligned with our values and desires. 

Something’s hurt, long after they have passed. One of the key differences between those who grow, change and transform - and those who remain stuck in the past - is the ability to feel and process regret in your life. 

Over 90% of people have a significant regret in their life. But how do you choose to perceive it? And more importantly, what do you do, when you are stuck in a cycle of regret? When there is a mistake you’ve made, that you can’t seem to let go of?

2. Allow a vision to drop in
   • Dreamers vs. Creators - where do you fall? 
   • If you are questioning the vision on your heart, simply ask fo God to remove it
   • If God drops a vision into your heart, it was placed there for a reason
   • What vision have you let die over time?
   • Your vision vs. Gods vision
3. Alignment from within  
   • “If God can’t move the mountain, move me”
   • Sometimes when we are “standing still,” externally, a lot is happening within you. You are becoming a vessel 
   • Creativity is a reflection of the Creator 
   • Lack of energy/ stagnation, is often a sign of lack of creativity in life 
4. Trust your power 
   • We are built/ created to be a force 
   • Deceit gets in the way of following through

Today we dive into, finding connection with our roots, and the wisdom that comes from our ancestors before. We are joined by Pia Sewelies, the Founder of Our Future is Ancient, and Soul Medicine Retreats, a ceremonial psilocybin retreat in Mexico. Pia shares her journey from deep suffering and anxiety to finding healing and transformation through plant medicine and connection with nature. She emphasizes the importance of reconnecting with ancient ways of living and integrating the wisdom of tribal cultures. 

Pia’s journey is a unique one. After experiencing anxiety and depression living the “traditional path,” she decided to pack up her bags and move to the Amazon. She is an example of someone who deeply has followed her intuition to allow her life to unfold in a completely unexpected way. 

We  discuss the importance of surrendering to the healing process and allowing joy to be a part of the journey. We explore the idea that healing can be achieved through joy and curiosity, and that it's not necessary to constantly seek the next thing to heal.

• Victim Mentality = a mindset in which a person tends to recognize/consider themselves a victim of the negative actions of others
• “By not accepting personal responsibility for our circumstances, we greatly reduce our power to change them.” 
• The Drama Triangle: Dr. Stephen Karpman - The Victim, The Persecutor, The Savior: creates dysfunctional social interactions in relationships, and stems from a power game between individuals. However these roles can extend further into our relationship with life itself 
• Signs of victim mentality: lack of accountability, resentment, blaming, comparison, powerless, not responsible, difficulty accepting criticism 
• Stems as a learned behavior from childhood, when parents enact manipulation power struggles, dismissive, or neglectful behavior in our homes 
• The victim mentality is highly correlated to TRUST 
  • Self Trust - the ability to continue to show up for yourself no matter the external situation 
  • Overthinking/ contemplating decisions = a lack of self trust, searching for control to avoid potential pain, create multiple scenarios and catastrophizing how things MIGHT go 

Steps to let go of the victim mentality  

1. Notice the Triggers - rewriting your story and what is happening 
2. Take responsibility - through actions and confidence 
3. Have compassion, forgiveness and self love for yourself - these triggers come from trauma and this step is critical 
4. Say no, establish more boundaries in life

In today's episode we discuss how YOU ARE NOT YOUR EMOTIONS. Emotions are a beautiful form of wisdom, and most of us get into loops of repressing… or becoming attached and identified by our emotions. Finding a balance and understanding how to listen, but not react… helps us return to an empowered state

• Secure/ Anxious / Avoidant attachment comes from the environment we were raised in
• Latin verb for Emotion is "Emotus" or "ēmoveō" - to move, stir, move through
• Emotions take on average 90 sec to move through body
• Triggers - you cant control how you feel, but you can control how you respond
• Lessons of emotions:
  • Anger: A boundary has been crossed (rather with yourself or another) - encourages us to use our empowerment and energy to move in a new direction, or to let go of what doesn't serve us. Courage is fueled by anger
  • Sadness: A sign to go inward, something wants to be grieved/ released. It cleanses, and creates empathy & connection with others
  • Fear: What needs to be seen in order to be overcome. The deeper lesson is discernment. Are we truly in danger, or is this a threshold we haven't crossed yet that will support our growth?
  • Jealousy: Direction you desire, but don't have yet. Underneath the judgment, can you see the quality or aspect that you actually are craving?
  • Joy: Seek more of these experiences
