Today we’re diving into a vulnerable, and important topic. It’s been over 2.5 years since I made the decision to get off pharmaceutical medications… after over 10 years of using them to support me through some extremely difficult times. In today’s episode we touch on a sensitive topic - what in your life are you holding onto, that is actually holding you back from your healing journey? What is on the other side of some of our biggest fears?

My journey of getting off medications (both antidepressants and vyvanse), is when my true healing began. What I had been avoiding and suppressing, was actually what set me free. A deeper connection to my emotions, which led to awareness of patterns and beliefs I had been holding onto. A deep spiritual journey reconnecting back to my heart and intuition was revealed one step at a time.

Please note, this is not medical advice - simply a perspective from someone who has dedicated her time and healing, to understand what is on the other side of what feels like a lifeline. I hope this reaches those who feel hopeless, or curious, about what might be on the other side of getting off of medications

1. Ability to feel: My life style + medications caused me to avoid feeling emotions for 10+ years 
   • I was afraid to go to the depths, but also acknowledge that medications numbed my ability to go too high or low. The exploration of our depths is what allows us to create a space to meet, and release past trauma and emotions… and until I could feel those parts - I almost remained stuck at a certain level of emotional awareness

   • The beauty in Heartbreak, and the journey of returning home to self
2. A deeper level of healing
   • It was only when I started to feel that I could begin to slow down and truly get to know myself. What was underneath the trauma, triggers, and reactions?

3. Owning and understanding your own unique energy
   • The importance of honoring what you need
   • The Principle of Rhythm (Hermeticism)

As we step into a New Year, we are reminded of the importance of honoring the natural cycles of life. We are meant to move through light and dark, yin and yang, winter and summer. Each cycle allows for shedding and rebirth into the next chapter. As we go on an inner journey, one of intentional creation and living from our intuition, it requires we meet multiple versions of ourselves throughout this lifetime.

Sometimes letting go of what no longer serves us can be the hardest part of the process

So how do we grow from one stage to the next? In today’s solo episode we dive into the inner process of letting go. Letting go, in order to move consciously into our next stage, of whatever we are calling in. We highlight the 5 steps of letting go, so we can clear any blockages or attachments, and move forward from a neutral state that allows us to pour all of our energy forward, versus remaining stuck emotionally or energetically to the past

5 steps of letting go

1. Making a decision- everything new comes from an inner decision that it is time to let go. It might now happen overnight, but there is a point when we need to decide to shift our attention away from the past in order to move in a new direction 
2. Feeling and expressing emotions - We need to allow whatever emotion appears in order to energetically move forward. Depending on how long this chapter has lasted this process will vary and bring up different emotions. All them to move through you and honor the time and space necessary to feel
   • The wisdom of Grief - cleansing of the past and allowing renewal. On the other side of grief is empathy, and a deeper connection with our Heart, and the Heart’s of others
   • The wisdom of Fear - discernment: Understanding what caused the fear, is it a threshold of growth, or a warning sign that something is unsafe or not aligned with you. If it’s not aligned, what do you need in order to feel safe?
   • The wisdom of Resentment - allowing you to understand your boundaries and needs on a deeper level. Transmuting anger from a victim mentality to one of responsibility 
3. Acceptance
   • Gratitude for what has happened, and lessons learned 
   • Understanding lessons from that chapter and what is tells you about your desires
4. Manifestation/ vision: Intentionally connecting with what you desire next 
   • The importance of manifesting from the heart vs. the head 
5. Aligned action

A balanced Crown Chakra allows us to practive surrender and trust, deeper than our human body can sometimes comprehend.
