On Data Privacy Day, we sat down with Marlowe Schaeffer Polk, MD, JD, CEO of DoctorsDoDigital and Lee Kim, JD, Director of Privacy and Security at HIMSS to talk about the impact of phishing attacks targeting healthcare. Colorado is quickly becoming recognized as a national hub for digital health technology innovation, driven partially by a thriving ecosystem of 115 emerging startups and high growth companies, represented by a group called the PrIME Health Collaborative. We are joined by Dr. Eran Bellin, VP of Clinical IT Research and Development at Montefiore Information Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Montefiore Medical Center Bronx, NY. Dr. Bellin was the featured speaker during theSeptember Innovation Community Meeting and walked through Clinical Looking Glass, a tool designed to support accountable care, quality improvement, research, and resident education. Patient experience is a hot buzz-word in today's healthcare industry but what does it actually mean and how can organizations improve patient experience? Jason Wolf, Ph.D. President of the Beryl Institute joins us and sheds some light on what patient experiences should look like and highlights some data on the state of the healthcare industry from the Beryl Institute's State of Patient Experience in American Hospitals 2013 report.

Dr. Wolf also provides some great suggestions for organizations looking to making the first step towards starting or improving their patient experience.
