Ian Silvestrin discussed the 4th Round of the CIK Karting Championships at Eastern Creek where Jamie Whincup blitzed the Intercontinental A class and Neil McFadyen completed a 4 round clean sweep of the Junior Class. Mark Winterbottom had his troubles tangling with David Clarke. Ryan Brisco having success in Canada. James Courtney talked about his year in Europe with Tony Kart and working with Roberto Robazzi and how Mark Webber was providing him some guidance and introductions. Chris Lambden Publisher of Motor Sport News returning from Europe for the Belgian and Italian Grand Prix discussed Mark Webber win in the Mercedes at Donington Park and David Brabham in the Panoz Batmobile. He also discussed the Calendar clash between the AMP 1000 at Bathurst and Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. Wade Aunger talked about the start of the Speedway season at Parramatta City Raceway and Newcastle Motordrome.

Bathurst 2018 will be remembered for Craig Lowndes 7th victory. This week on Inside Motor Sport, we hear from Lowndes and team mate Steven Richards on how they rode the bumps to make it onto the top step of the podium. Scott Pye and Warren Luff repeated their 2017 result with a 2nd place. Scott McLaughlin scored his first podium at Bathurst, while Alex Premat explained how they were able to recover from mistakes. In the Dunlop Super2 Series, Dean Fiore took a last lap victory. Fiore, talked about how the series should consider another mini enduro.

Australian Motor Sport Icon Bob Jane passed away following a long battle with Prostate Cancer. This week Inside Motor Sport looks back on his life and achievements with veteran Motor Sport Journalist Will Hagon and long time associate and Team Manager John Sheppard.

The benefits of Karting as a starting point for any budding race driver and his success in GTP. Mark Adderton talked about life as a 2 litre privateer, from a Toyota Sprinter to BMW then Peugeot back to Toyota and in 1998 a Honda Accord. Didier Auriol talked to Duncan Payne about the upcoming Rally Australia while testing Neal Bates Toyota Corolla in Canberra. Didier spoke about how difficult the Western Australian roads are for the competitors.

Harry Bates and John McCarthy have claimed their second round win of the 2018 CAMS Australian Rally Championship, taking victory at the Adelaide Hills Rally. Brodie Kostecki is the newest winner in the Dunlop Super 2 series, he talks about the victory at Sandown.

Neville Wilkinson discussed the changes in format at the Calder Park Thunderdome. Plans to have one day race meetings and new qualifying procedures. Todd Wanless discusses his move to owning a NASCAR team, and his experiences in Speedway both Sprintcars and NASCARS. Wanless also discussed taking the NASCARS to Bathurst for a 100km race. Geoff Brabham discussed not defending his AMP Bathurst 1000 win with BMW not entering in the outright class.

Last weekend the Endurance Season for Supercars Kicked off at Sandown, and it was one team who dominated the podium. Jamie Whincup, and Team Mates Shane Van Gisbergen and Craig Lowndes all controlling the top spots.

Larry Perkins discuss the win at Sandown from position 13, with Russell Ingall. He also discusses Bathurst being in Nov and taking a VS to the Gold Coast over the new VT before the 1000. Perkins also discusses the 1999 calendar which included a return to the Adelaide Parklands. Les Binkhorst calls the final 2 races of the NSW Wild Bunch Drag Racing Championships at the Canberra International Dragway.
