Years of conflict have left Yemen ravaged by violence, famine and disease - with little media coverage. But earlier this month, a FRANCE 24 team managed to travel to Aden to report from the southern port city, where they followed government forces. Back in the studio, our reporter Cyril Payen tells us more about the situation on the ground and the restrictions faced by journalists in Yemen. In Syria, an entire generation of children are traumatised, following seven years of bombardment, starvation and neglect. That's according to a report published by UNICEF, which also claims that more children were killed in 2017 than ever before. Officials at the UN body have warned that this year, numbers could be even worse.

Finally, in Egypt, one of the staunchest supporters of the incumbent President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has announced he's running in the upcoming election. But Moussa Mostafa Moussa's first election rally was attended by no more than 25 supporters. Few expect a heated contest as the two men face off on March 26.
