There is a difference between:
- Service: using our inherent gifts and talents to offer value to others.
Self-care: the act of being willing to give your body what it needs. Self-sacrifice: when we ignore self-care to serve others at our own expense. Selfishness: the habit of thinking and feeling more important than others. I invite you to consider these questions:
- What are your gifts and talents?
How can you use your gifts and talents to be of service? How willing are you to ask your body “What do you need?” and honor that truth? When do you notice forcing yourself to “be there for others” at your own expense? What benefit do you get from self-sacrificing?What does it cost you? When do you engage in the “selfishness” habit? Are you willing to offer yourself compassion for doing so?Stay tuned… I’m creating an intoxicating experience and course which will be coming your way later this fall. Prepared to be instigated, disrupted, and intoxicated.
