Major share markets were up in May despite ongoing uncertainty around the war with Iran, but there was a difference in performance. US shares were up another 5% in May—marking nine consecutive weeks of gains—while Australian shares rose less than 1%, trading below their pre-Iran war peak. What’s behind the difference, and can strength in the US market continue?
