Today we’re praying with Luke 24:13–35, the story of the road to Emmaus. We reflect on the beauty of walking with Jesus—even when we don’t yet recognize Him—and the powerful moment of recognition in the breaking of the bread. This passage reminds us of how important it is to invite Jesus into our homes and our hearts, just like the disciples did. It’s a moving metaphor for the Eucharist: when we welcome Him in, He reveals Himself in the most intimate, transformative way.
