“He should know!” Sixteen years into marriage, Tiffa shares about real struggles and hard situations. She reminds us that our husbands are not mind readers and reflects on the freedom that comes with embracing the truth that he doesn't know unless we’ve told him. Have we told him that our needs aren’t being met, or have we just used non-verbal cues and expected him to figure it out? 

Are we exploding in anger before we’ve ever expressed that there is a problem? There is solidarity in this conversation for wives in all seasons. Tiffa shares the transforming power of sisterhood when a marriage feels hopeless, the humiliating transformation that comes with Godly rebuke, and how asking for help can change the future. Her vulnerability will spark conversation that we’ve been waiting to have but didn’t know if it was safe enough. 

She paves the way for the sisterhood of Stimulate Summit attendees.  

SPEAKER BIO: Tiffa and her husband Imua have 3 children, Zeo, Zemmy and Zander. She teaches at Pacific Rim Christian University. She is a pastor, preacher and worship leader at C4 Community Church in Honolulu. Tiffa has a strong desire to raise generations to worship and love Jesus and to know Him with strength and joy. She is a member of ZEO Worship. She’s passionate about playing guitar, writing songs and serving her church and community.

It essentially supports our organs, including bladder, intestines, sexual reproductive organs, and fallopian tube, maintaining control of bowel and bladder movements. If anything goes wrong with the foundation, the entire house (body) is impacted.

“Sometimes it takes looking back to finally realize how much you’ve given up because of that…” - Dr. Thao  

We pulled the curtain back a bit on Pelvic Floor dysfunction talking about how much the small things really matter.   We talked about how to talk about sex, and giving words to the things we are feeling.  

We talked about gaining understanding about our bodies, and figuring out how to get help.   We addressed the unrealistic timelines that women of all ages experience.

Mentor to wives worldwide, Lori Higashi shares her wisdom from a season of being a Mother-in-law. Honor, trust, vulnerability, and communication develop overtime, not overnight. There is no perfect solution to achieving a good in-law relational bond, but there is hope for those who make an effort. 

When you said “I do” and committed “until death do you part,” you didn’t just get a husband; you got his family too.   Unmasking the mother-in-law dynamic is a conversation surrounding the hard work and intentionality required to learn new roles together.
