Irish Breakdown

It's Mailbag Day on IB Nation Sports Talk and Irish Breakdown answers listener questions about Notre Dame football and more on today's show. Some of today's topics include:

* What team current in the College Football Playoff top 12 will lose to an unranked team and fall out of the ranking?

* Will Notre Dame Stadium be full when the Irish host Florida State Saturday night?

* Why can't the members of the CFP committee be former players from small schools to avoid conflicts of interest in CFP rankings and selection?

* Is this season a data point for Notre Dame to join a conference?

* Should Notre Dame want LSU to beat Alabama?

* Should any team be able to get a CFP bye?

* Would it help Notre Dame if Texas A&M beats Texas?

* Will it matter if Notre Dame beats Florida State by more than Miami beat the Seminoles?

* More!

Today's Rapid Fire topics include:

* We predict where Notre Dame will be in the first College Football Playoff rankings.

* Fill-in the blank...It’s BLANK that Marcus Freeman says Jordan Botelho plans to return to Notre Dame next year.

* Would you rather have a coach like Freeman who has shown he can win big games, but also has a few bad upset losses under his belt, or James Franklin who has 11 more years of experience but can’t win games that matter?

* The Penn State – Ohio State game was Saturday’s biggest game of the day. Penn State fans were mad that it kicked off at Noon and not in primetime. Which would you prefer?

* Fill-in the blank...Olivia Miles turning in a triple double in her first game back after missing all of last season with injury is BLANK.

* Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles played for overtime and kicked the extra point rather than going for two and the win at the end of regulation in Kansas City. Do you Buy or Sell the move?

* Today’s NFL trade deadline day. The Cowboys traded a fourth round pick for Carolina receiver Jonathon Mingo at the same time they placed Dak Prescott on IR with a hamstring injury. Do you Buy or Sell the Cowboys being buyers?
