Al Washington's defensive line was outstanding in 2023, but the unit can and must get better in 2024. Bryan explains the challenges that face Washington, who has a deep, experienced and talented group of players returning. Replacing a pair of productive ends is a big task, getting more from the Vyper is crucial, and the interior needs to be even better than it was during a strong 2023 season.

It's a huge year for Notre Dame offensive line coach Joe Rudolph. Notre Dame definitely needs its line to be better than it was in 2023, but that will have to happen without three starters. It will be a challenge for Rudolph, but that's what he's tasked with doing.

Bryan breaks down the task in front of Rudolph, what improvement means in 2024 and why there should be excitement about what this unit is capable of being this season.

* Fill-in the blank...It’s BLANK that Gabe Rubio is back with the Fighting Irish after taking a leave of absence from the team during the spring.

* Marcus Freeman recently said that when opposing defenses loaded the box to take away Notre Dame’s running game last season, “we didn’t always make them pay" by throwing the ball. On a scale of 1 to 10...how confident are you the Irish can and will make teams pay if that happens this year?
