This week: People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive issues
What a mess. After last week's power struggle, the Camp Counsellors have decided to let the people decide who should be in charge. Unfortunately they mixed up "the people" and "People Magazine", so now the Palace is teeming with photographers and columnists. Sarah has never had to wear this much beige in her life, and Sam won't stop being asked if he thinks parenthood would change him.
So in between rounds of questions and photoshoots, the Counsellors are reading issues of People's Sexiest Man Alive!
Who do the Counsellors want to see in future installments of this annual tradition? Will we get a dramatic reading from Sam? And will this honour ever be awarded to a trans man?
All these discussions won't appear in print, but will be in this episode!

This episode: Benedetta
There's a struggle for power within the walls of the Is It Camp Palace. Counsellor Sam thinks the MCU Blurays should be organised by phase, whereas Counsellor Sarah thinks they should be organised by name. Now lines have been drawn. But Sam has a secret weapon: he has received divine visions from Colm Feore himself! Can Sam be trusted with such power? Or is Sarah playing a much longer game?
To help clarify matters, the Counsellors are watching Benedetta.
How many times can the Counsellors make references to "a swimmer's bod"? Who is Sam's favourite Matrix character? And how much is Sarah's car worth to a 17th century peasant?
All this, and the divine secrets of the universe, in today's episode!
This episode: Malignant (2021)
Oh no Campers! So many juicy murders have been happening on the Palace grounds, and who are the Number 1 Suspects? Why, it's Sam and Sarah, the Camp Counsellors.
But they both have the perfect alibis! They were with each other during each murder. They were practically joined at the hip! So what could be going on, and who can we trust? And what's wrong with the lights in the Palace? I'm sure it's nothing…
In the meantime, we are watching Malignant, to calm our nerves.
Why is Sam against the idea of Passive Stretching? Why does Sarah think a house with a basement is the height of luxury? And why is that Pixies song playing?
Tune in for an episode filled with twists and turns!
This episode: The Love Witch
The Is It Camp Palace has been saved and now that we have some downtime, the Counsellors can pursue other hobbies. Like the Dark Arts. Sarah has taken up the Knitting of Naughtiness, whereas Sam is now murdering men left right and center after they date for 2 days. Why is he doing this? Maybe the answer lies in this week's film: The Love Witch!
The Counsellors talk about feminism, because they were bound to eventually. Why is Sam bringing up ancient 90s sitcom Dharma and Greg? And what's the jump scare that will shake Sarah to her very core?!
Come with us to call down the Goddess and find out!
Anna Biller’s tweet mentioned in the episode can be seen here: https://twitter.com/missannabiller/status/819260951903899648
This episode: L'il Abner
Well Campers, seems that The Government has declared the Is It Camp Palace the most unnecessary place on earth. So they're evicting us to do experiments involving giving sentience to stiletto heels? That can't be right.
The Camp Counsellors are now trying to prove that they are necessary! And to do so they are screening Li'l Abner, the movie based on a Broadway musical, based on a comic strip that most people seem to have forgotten!
What red string line can the Counsellors connect between this film and Captain America? Why is Sam trying to convince us that Heathcliff is still going and is very funny? And will Sarah change her last name to Von Climax?
Please help us find out, so we can save the Palace!
This episode: Logan's Run
Sam and Sarah have decided to implement a new rule here at the Is It Camp Palace, and in order to mark the event they've opened up the Carousel out back!
It's got horses, and a calliope, and Mary Poppins references, and explosions! And now the unveiling of the new rule: You gotta die when you reach 30. Oh no. We didn't think this through. So now the Camp Counsellors are on the run! While they escape the Is It Camp security forces, you guys can take in Logan's Run for week two of *Mystery Month*!
Why is this movie rated PG when there's clearly nudity in it? Do the Counsellors like this film after last week's fiasco? And can we go any more episodes without mentioning Cats?
Find out, before our timers run out!!!
This episode: Mannequin
The gift store in the Is It Camp Palace has finally opened up, and the displays in the windows are the talk of the town! Here we can see a display of mannequins, eerily similar to our own Camp Counsellors, as they imitate a scene of an 80s movie montage! Trying on the various Is It Camp?! merch, as the mannequins spin and pose and oh wait no, it's just Sam and Sarah trying to stand still.
Whose hair-brained idea was this?
While we figure that out, join us in our first week of *Mystery Month* as we take in properties neither host has seen, starting with the Kim Cattrall film Mannequin!
What does Sarah know about the mysterious Cynthia? Does Sam regret his choice in this film? And why is this movie so horny in the worst way?
Stand absolutely still with us as we discuss Mannequin!
This episode: Van Halen & David Lee Roth
The Counsellors have decided to start a metal band, but they need a charismatic lead singer to really boost them to stardom. So they've brought in special guest host, Elana Levin, to rocket the band to new levels of stardom.
And to discuss David Lee Roth and Van Halen!
Who's the hottest member of Van Halen? How ear-wormable are these songs? And what's Elana's opinion on DLR's cover of "California Girls"?
Now we need to stop Sam before he makes everyone work on their splits and makes them all wear lycra.
Can you rock on with us?
This episode: Star Trek (2009)
Space: another frontier. These are the episodes of the Podcast Is It Camp?! In its first year of its mission: to seek out queer subtext, and amazingly bad pop culture. To boldly discuss what's been discussed by straight dudes before us!
Captain Sarah and her inappropriately dressed ship Counsellor Sam have picked up an important passenger in Warren, from the Starship "Radio Free Skaro". Since the trip is about 3 hrs, the in-flight movie is 2009s Star Trek!
How does Warren feel about the overall works of JJ Abrams? Why is this film so important to Sarah? And why is Sam talking about one episode of Fringe?
Teleport in for this very special *Birthday* episode!!!
