As the Holiday Season is winding down, the Camp Counselors thought they'd dive into one inescapable aspect: Holiday Music. And what could be more camp than internationally famous European Disco/Funk group Boney M. singing about Christmas?

Sam has a deep, dark confession to make about the holiday season. Not Gremlins dark, but dark enough. Will Sarah grade these songs on a bell curve? And what the hell is this hideous Christmas Goblin song that's somehow made its way onto the album‽

It's probably for the best that these holidays only come once a year!

We were going to open up the theatre wing of the Is It Camp Palace for our annual Winter Pageant, but we saw an eviction notice taped to the door! Now we have until Christmas Eve to pack up everything and get out.

Unless a miracle can happen! And by miracle, we mean non-stop musical numbers, several near-death experiences, divine IVF intervention, and familial revelations that are SHOCKING.

And we will find all this in the Dolly Parton/Christine Baranski holiday film  Christmas on the Square! So help us save our Theatre, Campers!

This episode: The Christmas Chronicles

The snow is gently falling on the Is It Camp Palace. The scent of Peppermint is in the air. And Sam and Sarah are snuggled down, inside the closet next to the fireplace of the main hall ready to spring a trap and catch Santa in action! But can our hosts stop falling for this unnervingly attractive Santa long enough to talk about our film this episode?

That's right, we are talking about the Kurt Russell vehicle, The Christmas Chronicles! Or are we just talking about Kurt Russell, who may be the most handsome man ever? What mysterious connection does Sam hold to the film? What will Sarah learn about the workings of  film set? Isn't Kurt Russell just gorgeous? Yes. He is.

This episode: Xanadu

Finally, the plans have been drawn up to properly open the Is It Camp Palace! Turns out, it's a night club/disco/theatre/camping ground/recording studio/*insert Miranda Hart saying "Slash"* All it took was the influence of one heavenly body (Gene Kelly) and a beloved musical star (Olivia Newton-John) for us to finally see our vision come to life, and no those designations weren't a mistake. Can Disco and Big Band really come together to save Xanadu, or is it too late for them to save themselves? Can Sam pronounce the name of the main character? And what insight does Sarah have to the death of Disco? Find out in our discussion of the doomed musical experience Xanadu!

Today we are off to Montmartre to immerse ourselves in whimsy, the possibility of love, and magical realism.

But this time we're not interested in the Musical, but rather the MURDERS being done to the cast and crew! Sam straps on his teaching hat to discuss some Film Theory.
