HIGH PARK AND OTHER TORONTO PARKS NOT SO RESIDENT FRIENDLY ANYMORE?

Is Toronto becoming the city that fun forgot or is there more to it than that? Yesterday, we had a big reaction to the city’s move to ban tobogganing in 45 parks. There’s also been lots of protest around the decision to ban cars from High park making it inaccessible for many older people, new parents and people with disabilities. And we just heard about another area in the park that will be closed to people altogether. That’s the place where there was a labyrinth. And remember the delays last year in opening washrooms - another factor keeping people away. Who is responsible for these decisions? Is it bureaucrats? Where are the politicians? And is there a move to keep people out of our parks?
