Kenyan born Isaac Birir sat down to speak all things running from starting his running in Kenya, heading to Europe to race everything he could to chase Euros and now living in the worlds most isolated city Perth Western Australia.  Isaac tells us what running in Kenya is really like, what makes Kenyans so good and why the want has to be there to achieve success. Isaac shares a few tales about his time in Europe where his early plan was to race everything in sight to earn as much money as possible.  Isaac has now gone full circle living a very quiet life on the West Coast of Australia and not racing too much at all. Isaac explains how he has had to adopt the real world thinking of race today and back to work tomorrow as he did after winning the 2019 Melbourne Marathon in 2:16:31.
