When Isabella "Machine" Summers met Florence Welch in the mid-2000s, they formed a deep connection that led very quickly to writing music together. One of the first songs they wrote was Florence + The Machine’s hit single “Dog Days Are Over”.

At the time Isabella was busy building her skills as a producer, having grown up loving hip-hop and experimenting with turntables and samplers. She was also raised around art and film, which makes sense of her recent move into composing for films and TV shows like Little Fires Everywhere and Physical. In addition, Isabella has written with artists like LP, Sam Sparro and Iggy Azalea.
