  • Get to Know Your Farmers Market

Get to know your farmers market(s). Its important, whenever possible, to know the farmers that are growing your food and the methods that they are using to grow their crops. The advantage of going to farmers markets are many, you can get to know your farmer, you can find lots of wonderful amazing foods that are not easily available from big box grocers because they are made in small batches, you can find like minded people who are shopping with health in mind. Different farmers markets have different products available, so if you are lucky to have several in your area, check them all out. I don't eat synthetic chemicals. I have found wonderful products that are homemade, like a homemade V-8 juice made from home grown organic tomatoes, or marvelous organic breads. You can also find real local honey, which isn't cut with corn syrup and helpful for hay fever. We also buy our pastured meats from our markets. As a foodie who eats clean, farmers markets are loaded with treasures.

I discuss sensitivities, how to discover what yours are, each color in real food, what its gift is to the body, and why it's important to eat them all because of the synergy created with all of them to make your body healthy.

  • You Are What You Eat

In this episode, I discuss why food quality matters and why our bodies need nutrients to be healthy. Fast Food and processed foods are often "fake" food, loaded with synthetic ingredients. We need the nutrients from real whole foods so that our bodies have the correct building blocks to regenerate cells and stay healthy. I give you an idea of the different lengths of time between replacements there is for each type of cell in your body. I also discuss ways to afford and save on healthy food. Give your body the best possible building blocks so that you are building a strong and healthy body.

  • #3 - Tell Me Your Story: Michelle Pope

Glyphosate Poisoning - Glyphosate is Round-Up. Round-Up has lost 3 lawsuits and has 4000 pending suits against them. Still, Round-Up is being sprayed on our food, lawns, school yards, sidewalk grass, and golf courses. One of two types of Genetically Modified Crops is "Round-Up" Ready, which means that the food can withstand excess amounts of Round-Up sprayed on it.

Avoid GMOs. One of the dangers of glyphosate, other than that it is a herbicide and poison, is that it is chelating all of the minerals out of our growing soil, and making the plants deficient in minerals, and what minerals do make it to our guts are being chelated right out of our bodies before our bodies can utilize them.

  • #3 - Conventional vs GMO vs Organic

It's important to eat real food, real fruits and vegetables of all the colors of the rainbow so that our bodies get real nutrients. In addition, it is important to eat our whole foods without an unhealthy dose of toxins and chemicals with them.

When I first got autoimmune disease 8 years ago, I didn't understand how our food was grown, so I was unaware of all the toxins being used on our food at factory farms. Organic food is more regulated, and organic growers have to meet strict guidelines so that they can take their produce to market as organic. These guidelines do make organic more expensive to grow crops.

Conventional farming is also subsidized by our government making it unnaturally less expensive. I explain what the Dirty Dozen/ Clean 15 lists are, and why this is where you should start to spend your organic food money. • #2 - Tell Me Your Story: Miriam Richard

As Miriam Richard watched her fifteen-year-old son, Charlie, suffer the wracking agony of Crohn's disease, Miriam (pen-name Shannon Eavenson) just wanted to make the pain go away. Having experienced a serious gastrointestinal disorder herself, she hoped to spare Charlie a lifetime of medication and possibly surgery. Her family had a choice to make:

Miriam and her family chose the holistic path, leading them on a long journey through medical research into Crohn's disease, autoimmune disorders, and diet.

Eventually, Miriam discovered the potent connection between gut health, diet, and lifestyle habits.

Miriam then gathered her hard-earned knowledge into an important guide to the holistic treatment of bowel diseases: Gut Feeling: Gut Healing.

She then did something miraculous, she started training dogs to sniff out the food sensitivities that made her son sick. Dogs in Vests

Don't miss this fascinating interview with a Mom who would stop at nothing to save her son's health.

  • #1 Tell Me Your Story - Brandi Blouch - Learning to Live with Bipolar Syndrome

I interview Brandi R. Blouch, who has struggled with Bipolar syndrome her whole life. She finally found an even emotional pattern when she became a partner in her health and had the foundation of a good man who loved her for support. She openly discusses her story to give hope to others struggling with bipolar syndrome. She is the author of "From Ups and Downs to Middle Ground Surviving Bipolar: Giving Bipolar A Voice." An Amazon bestseller.

Brandi is a health coach and a keynote speaker, and she is very active on Facebook sharing her story with others.
This is my page for my new podcast on Voice America. So far, I have done a show on gratitude, and then I interviewed Brandi Blouch (https://www.facebook.com/groups/46885...) on the ups and downs of bipolar. A fascinating interview. My concept is to cover a topic on health and eliminating toxins one week, and then every other week is an interview with someone who got very ill, owned it, dug in, and found a way to return to relative wellness. I want to inspire ill people to know that they can make changes in their life that will support their bodies to return to relative wellness. For example, I will always have an autoimmune disease. Once someone topples over from toxic load, there is no going back. But I have gone from horrendous pain to no pain, all from eliminating toxins and changing my stress levels, how I eat, and how many hours of sleep I get.

Our bodies want to heal. So we have to give them the right nutrition and other components so our bodies CAN heal.

My shows release on Thursdays. This week's show is on stress. Every organ in our bodies is impacted by chronic stress. I almost let the tiger catch me and eat me. My cortisol was only a hair above Addison's Disease when I got sick. I now do little exercise daily to release it before it becomes chronic. I just published a little desktop book on my exercises so that everyone can keep the book close to utilize one exercise intermittently throughout the day. This book is my gift to people who read and review my second book.
