ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਇਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ॥

ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਕਥਾ ਕਹਾਣੀਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੀਤਿ ਸੁਣਾਈਆ ॥
Har Keeaa Kathhaa Kehaaneeaa Gur Meeth Sunaaeeaa ||
God's sermons and tales, my friend, the Guru, has related to me.
ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਆ ॥੧॥
Balihaaree Gur Aapanae Gur Ko Bal Jaaeeaa ||1||
A sacrifice am I unto my Guru. Unto the Guru, I am a sacrifice.
ਆਇ ਮਿਲੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੁ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Aae Mil Gurasikh Aae Mil Thoo Maerae Guroo Kae Piaarae || Rehaao ||
Come and see me, O thou the disciple of the Guru, come and meet me thou, Thou art my Guru's beloved. Pause.
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਦੇ ਸੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਏ ॥
Har Kae Gun Har Bhaavadhae Sae Guroo Thae Paaeae
God's praise are pleasing to God. Them, I have obtained from the Guru.
ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਘੁਮਿ ਘੁਮਿ ਜਾਏ ॥੨॥
Jin Gur Kaa Bhaanaa Manniaa Thin Ghum Ghum Jaaeae ||2||
They, who obey the Guru, will, unto them, I am a sacrifice, yea, a sacrifice.
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ
Jin Sathigur Piaaraa Dhaekhiaa Thin Ko Ho Vaaree ||
They, who behold the beloved True Guru, unto them am I devoted.
ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
Jin Gur Kee Keethee Chaakaree Thin Sadh Balihaaree ||3||
I am ever a sacrifice unto those, who perform the Guru's service.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਦੁਖ ਮੇਟਣਹਾਰਾ ॥
Har Har Thaeraa Naam Hai Dhukh Maettanehaaraa ||
Thy Name, O Lord God, is the Destroyer of suffering.
ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥੪॥
Gur Saevaa Thae Paaeeai Guramukh Nisathaaraa ||4||
By The service of the Guru, the name is received. It is though the Guru that emancipation is obtained.
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ॥
Jo Har Naam Dhhiaaeidhae Thae Jan Paravaanaa ||
They, who contemplate the Lord's Name, acceptable become those persons.
ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾ ॥੫॥
Thin Vittahu Naanak Vaariaa Sadhaa Sadhaa Kurabaanaa ||5||
Unto them, Nanak is a sacrifice and for ever and aye he is devoted.
ਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
Saa Har Thaeree Ousathath Hai Jo Har Prabh Bhaavai ||
O God, the Lord Master, that alone is Thine praise, which is pleasing to Thee.
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੬॥
Jo Guramukh Piaaraa Saevadhae Thin Har Fal Paavai ||6||
The Guru-wards, who serve the Beloved Lord, they obtain Him as their reward.
ਜਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਪਿਰਹੜੀ ਤਿਨਾ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
Jinaa Har Saethee Pireharree Thinaa Jeea Prabh Naalae ||
They, who cherish love for their Lord, their soul is ever attuned to God.
ਓਇ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜੀਵਦੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥੭॥
Oue Jap Jap Piaaraa Jeevadhae Har Naam Samaalae ||7||
Meditating and ever dwelling upon the Beloved, they live and they gather God's Name.
ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਘੁਮਿ ਜਾਇਆ ॥
Jin Guramukh Piaaraa Saeviaa Thin Ko Ghum Jaaeiaa ||
The Guru-wards, who serve the Beloved Lord, unto, I am a sacrifice.
ਓਇ ਆਪਿ ਛੁਟੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਸਿਉ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਛਡਾਇਆ ॥੮॥
Oue Aap Shhuttae Paravaar Sio Sabh Jagath Shhaddaaeiaa ||8||
Thy themselves are saved along with their families and through them the whole world is delivered.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਧੰਨੋ ॥
Gur Piaarai Har Saeviaa Gur Dhhann Gur Dhhanno ||
My Beloved Guru has served the Lord, Blessed, blessed is the Guru, the True Guru.
ਗੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਦਸਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਵਡ ਪੁੰਨੋ ॥੯॥
Gur Har Maarag Dhasiaa Gur Punn Vadd Punno ||9||
The Guru has shown me the God's way, the Guru has done me the good, yea, the supreme good.
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਸੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥
Jo Gurasikh Gur Saevadhae Sae Punn Paraanee ||
The Guru's disciples, who serve the Guru, are the blessed beings.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੧੦॥
Jan Naanak Thin Ko Vaariaa Sadhaa Sadhaa Kurabaanee ||10||
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice unto them Unto them, he is ever, ever devoted.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਆ ਸੇ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਈਆ ॥
Guramukh Sakhee Sehaeleeaa Sae Aap Har Bhaaeeaa ||
The Guru-ward mates and companions, they are pleasing to God Himself.
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਨਾਈਆ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਈਆ ॥੧੧॥
Har Dharageh Painaaeeaa Har Aap Gal Laaeeaa ||11||
In God's court, they are clothed with the robe of honour. The Lord hugs them to His bosom.
