Robin Young is the Managing Director at Nicky Clarke, the renowned hair care brand with a rich legacy in the UK. With a strategic vision and unwavering determination, Robin plays a key role in driving the brand's product development within the UK and exploring new avenues for expansion beyond its borders. Since joining Nicky Clarke in 2018, Robin's approach has been instrumental in propelling the brand's global expansion. Under his leadership, Nicky Clarke has successfully entered untapped markets in South Africa and the United States. This international journey began with the strategic decision to bring the tools segment in-house by terminating a license agreement. It was accompanied by a comprehensive brand update and product range refresh, complemented by strategic investments in social media and PR efforts, leading to Nicky Clarke's successful relaunch in the UK market.


As Managing Director, Robin supervises sales channels in both the UK and the US. In the UK, the brand caters to end-consumers and salon professionals through traditional stores, e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and eBay, as well as their own website. In the United States, the focus is on the professional market, and Robin is responsible for overseeing the strategic launch of the brand online via SalonCentric.com and Amazon.com, with plans to secure distribution in salon professional focused outlets. Before joining Nicky Clarke, Robin Young gained extensive experience in the retail buying sector with two major UK retailers. As a senior buying manager for personal care products at Tesco, he managed a diverse range of products across the UK and central Europe handling supplier funding, cost price negotiations, promotional strategies, range selections, and market growth initiatives. Nicky Clarke is expanding faster than ever due to his efforts.
