On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob G kick things off with a deep dive into the Philadelphia Eagles' win over the Washington Football Team. The Eagles win kept Jason alive in the vaunted Survivor Pool, but the story of the game was Jalen Hurts. The second year quarterback threw for almost 300 yards in the win, and after the contest folks in the Twitterspere started calling him a 'franchise quarterback'. Wait, what?! Did they forget that Washington's defense was missing most of their starters? Or that Hurts had failed to eclipse 180 yards passing in the five previous games? Pump the brakes on the Hurts Hype; He hasn't proven anything yet. Later, the guys share their thoughts on the Los Angeles Rams' victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and the boys seem to be peaking at the right time. With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' receiving core in shambles at the moment and the Dallas Cowboys offense in an overall funk, you could easily make a case for the Rams as the 2nd best team in the NFC. Finally, the guys close the show with a few thoughts on the Los Angeles Lakers' ugly loss to the Phoenix Suns. LeBron James is too old to carry this depleted roster anymore. Jason says it's time to seriously consider the idea that the Lakers won't make the playoffs, while Rob G insists that they'll still end up winning the NBA championship (assuming they get their full roster together at some point). Guess we'll just have to wait and see on this one.
