Today, I’ll talk about sports manga.

今日の トピックは、マンガの ことです。

Today’s topic is manga.

日本には いろいろな ジャンルの マンガが あります。

In Japan, there are many genres of manga.

たとえば、アクション や バトルの マンガ。

For example, action or battle manga.

バトル する ジャンルです。

That’s the battle genre.

ほかには、恋愛もの や ラブロマンス。

Other genres include romance and love stories.

これは、男の人 と 女の人の ラブロマンスの ジャンルです。

These are about romantic relationships between men and women.

ほかには、コメディ とか、SF とか、ホラー とか、いろいろな ジャンルの マンガが あります。

There are also comedy, sci-fi, horror, and many other genres.

ぼくは よく アクション とか バトル する マンガを 読みます。

I often read action and battle manga.

これは 日本っぽいですね。

That feels very Japanese, doesn’t it?

ストーリーが ユニークで、とても おもしろいです。

The stories are unique and very interesting.

いろいろな マンガが あるけど、スポーツの マンガが 人気なんです。

There are many types of manga, but sports manga are popular.

そう、日本で スポーツの ドラマ とか、えいが とか、マンガ とか。

Yes, in Japan, sports dramas, movies, and manga—

スポーツの コンテンツが 人気なんですね。

Sports-related content is very popular.

ぼくも、子どもの 時、スポーツの マンガを よく 読みました。

When I was a child, I also used to read sports manga a lot.

スラムダンク っていう マンガです。

It’s a manga called Slam Dunk.

スラムダンク 知っていますか？

Do you know Slam Dunk?

スラムダンクは バスケットボールの マンガです。

Slam Dunk is a basketball manga.

高校生が バスケットを する スポーツ マンガなんです。

It’s a sports manga about high school students playing basketball.

これ 本当によく 読みました。

I read it a lot.

めちゃくちゃ いい マンガで、かんどう しますね。

It’s a really good manga, and it’s moving.

日本の 人って スポーツ マンガ 好きなんですよ。

Japanese people really like sports manga.

この スラムダンクには、オープニングの 時、しょうなんの ふみきりが 出てきます。

In the opening scene of Slam Dunk, there’s a railroad crossing in Shonan.

しょうなん っていう ところです。

It’s a place called Shonan.

ふみきりは、電車が 通るし、人も 通るし、車も 通る ところですね。

A railroad crossing is a place where trains, people, and cars pass through.

この オープニングに 出てくる しょうなんの ふみきりが めちゃくちゃ 人気なんですよ。

That crossing that appears in the opening scene is super popular.

たくさんの 人が この ふみきりを 見たいから 行きます。

Many people visit because they want to see that crossing.

とても 人が 多いです。

It gets very crowded.

スラムダンク っていう マンガが 人気だから、この ふみきりも 人気に なりました。

Because Slam Dunk is so popular, the crossing became popular too.

ほかの スポーツの マンガは、たとえば ハイキュー とか ブルーロックが 人気です。

Other popular sports manga include Haikyuu!! and Blue Lock.

ハイキューは とても 有名ですね。

Haikyuu!! is very famous.

バレーボールの マンガです。

It’s a volleyball manga.

これも 学生が バレーボールを します。

This one is also about students playing volleyball.

ハイキューが 好きな 生とさん いました。

I had a student who loved Haikyuu!!.

とても 好きで、いつも ハイキューの ことを 話していました。

They liked it so much that they always talked about it.

そして、さいきんは えいがに なる スポーツ マンガも あります。

And recently, some sports manga have been made into movies.

ぼくが 好きな スラムダンク とか、バレーボールの マンガ ハイキュー とか。

Like Slam Dunk and Haikyuu!!, which I really like.

えいがに なりました。

They became movies.

ぼくは スラムダンクが 好きです。

I like Slam Dunk.

だから えいがを 見ました。

So I watched the movie.

めちゃくちゃ よかったですね。

It was really good.

えいがを 見ながら 泣いちゃいましたね。

I cried while watching it.

なみだが 出ました。

Tears came out.

Today I’ll talk about the things I like.

昨日は 僕の 自己紹介を しました。

Yesterday I introduced myself.

今 住んでいる ところ とか 前 住んでいた ところの ことを 話しました。

I talked about where I live now and where I used to live.

今日は もう 少し 自己紹介を します。

Today I’ll introduce myself a little more.

好きな ことを 話しますね。

I’ll talk about things I like.

そうですね。

Let’s see.

好きな ことは たくさん あります。

There are many things I like.

だから 最近 好きな ことを 話しますね。

So I’ll talk about things I like recently.

1つ目は コーヒーです。

The first one is coffee.

最近 コーヒーが めちゃくちゃ 大好きなんですよ。

Recently, I love coffee so much.

前は お茶を よく 飲んでいました。

Before, I often drank tea.

でも 最近は コーヒーを いつも 飲みます。

But recently I always drink coffee.

おいしいですよね。

It’s delicious, right?

みんなも コーヒー 好きですか？

Do you all like coffee too?

僕は 朝 起きた 後 コーヒーを 飲みます。

I drink coffee after I wake up in the morning.

そして 仕事の 前に コーヒーを 飲みます。

And I drink coffee before work.

そして 仕事の 後 コーヒーを 飲みます。

And I drink coffee after work.

時々 1日に 4回 コーヒーを 飲みますね。

Sometimes I drink coffee four times a day.

ちょっと 飲みすぎ かもしれません。

Maybe I drink too much.

でも これ やめられないんです。

But I can’t stop this.

やめられないは Can't stop ですね。

“Yamerarenai” means “can’t stop.”

そう やめられないんですよ。

Yes, I really can’t stop.

朝 起きてから コーヒーを 飲むと はあ 今日も がんばろうっていう 気持ちに なります。

When I drink coffee after waking up, I feel like “Okay, I’ll do my best today.”

コーヒーが 好きだから、カフェに よく 行きますね。

Because I like coffee, I often go to cafes.

おいしい コーヒーが 飲める カフェ とか なんか いい ふんいきの カフェ とか よく 行きます。

I often go to cafes where I can drink good coffee or where the atmosphere feels nice.

2つ目は キャンプですね。

The second one is camping.

僕は アウトドアが 大好きです。

I love the outdoors.

キャンプしたり ハイキングしたり ピクニックしたり。

I go camping, hiking, and picnicking.

いろいろな ことが 好きだけど、特に キャンプが 好きです。

I like many things, but I especially like camping.

キャンプって めちゃくちゃ いいですよね。

Camping is really great, isn’t it?

なんか こころが いやされる かんじです。

It feels like your heart is healed.

前 よく ふじ山の 近くで キャンプを していました。

Before, I often camped near Mt. Fuji.

ふじ山の 近くで キャンプ おすすめです。

Camping near Mt. Fuji is recommended.

夜は 友だちと お酒を 飲んで バーベキューを して、たき火を して、そして 朝 ふじ山が 見えるんです。

At night, you drink alcohol with friends, have a barbecue, make a campfire, and in the morning you can see Mt. Fuji.

めちゃくちゃ きれいなんですよ。

It’s incredibly beautiful.

本当に きれいです。

It’s really beautiful.

ふじ山を 見て コーヒーを 飲むと さいこうの 気持ちですね。

Seeing Mt. Fuji and drinking coffee feels amazing.

めちゃくちゃ いいっていう 気持ちに なります。

It makes me feel really good.

だから ふじ山の 近くで キャンプは おすすめです。

So camping near Mt. Fuji is recommended.

僕は キャンプが 大好きです。

I really love camping.

3つ目は あかべこです。

The third one is akabeko.

あかべこ 前の ポッドキャストで 話しました。

I talked about akabeko in a previous podcast.

僕の 出身は ふくしま県です。

My hometown is Fukushima Prefecture.

あかべこは ふくしま県の でんとうてきな おもちゃです。

Akabeko is a traditional toy from Fukushima Prefecture.

でも 今は いろいろな ものと コラボレーションして います。

But now they collaborate with many things.

だから かわいい あかべこが たくさん あるんですね。

So there are many cute akabeko.

Ah… I’m sad.

でも がんばります。

But I will do my best.

さあ、今日は 自己紹介を したいと 思います。

So today I want to introduce myself.

ぼくの ことを 話します。

I’ll talk about myself.

ぼくの ことを しらない 人も いると 思うから、今日は 自己紹介を します。

Some of you may not know about me, so today I will introduce myself.

ぼくの 名前は たかしです。

My name is Takashi.

日本語の 先生です。

I am a Japanese teacher.

日本語の 先生を したり、学校で おしえたり してます。

I work as a Japanese teacher and teach at a school.

日本語の 先生は 6年くらい しています。

I’ve been a Japanese teacher for about six years.

たくさんの 生とさんに 日本語を おしえています。

I teach many students Japanese.

ぼくは 日本語を おしえるのが とても 好きです。

I really like teaching Japanese.

日本語の レッスンの 時間が とても 楽しくて、毎週 楽しみなんです。

My Japanese lessons are very fun and I look forward to them every week.

今は たくさんの 生とさんが いるから、新しい 生とさんは とれません。

I have many students now, so I can’t take new students.

これは とても うれしい ことですよね。

This is something I’m very happy about.

ぼくは 日本に 住んでます。

I live in Japan.

日本の かながわ県っていう ところに 住んでます。

I live in a place called Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.

かながわ県 しっていますか？

Do you know Kanagawa Prefecture?

東京の となりに ある 県です。

It is a prefecture next to Tokyo.

東京から とても 近いんですよ。

It’s very close to Tokyo.

今は かながわ県に 住んでいるけど、ぼくの 出身は ふくしま県です。

I live in Kanagawa now, but my hometown is Fukushima Prefecture.

東京より 北の ほうに あります。

It is north of Tokyo.

冬は とても さむくて 雪が ふります。

In winter it is very cold and it snows.

でも 自然が たくさん あります。

But there is a lot of nature.

とても いい ところですよ。

It’s a very nice place.

ぼくの おばあちゃんの 家は お風呂やさんです。

My grandmother’s house is a public bathhouse.

温泉ですね。

It’s a hot spring.

ぼくの おばあちゃんは もう しんじゃいました。

My grandmother has already passed away.

だから 今は ぼくの 弟が お風呂やさんを しています。

So now my younger brother runs the bathhouse.

お風呂やさんの 温泉は めちゃくちゃ いいですよ。

The hot spring at the bathhouse is very good.

ぼくは ふくしま県に 帰った時、いつも 行きます。

When I go back to Fukushima, I always go.

さいこうです。

It’s the best.

ふくしま県に 行きたい 人は ぼくに DMして ください。

弟の お風呂やさんを おしえます。

I’ll tell you about my brother’s bathhouse.

ぼくの 出身は ふくしま県です。

My hometown is Fukushima Prefecture.

でも 大学は ほっかいどう でした。

But my university was in Hokkaido.

ほっかいどうの 大学に 行ったんですね。

I went to a university in Hokkaido.

めちゃくちゃ いい ところでしたね。

It was a really great place.

ご飯は おいしいし、自然が たくさん あるし、さいこうでした。

The food was delicious, there was lots of nature—it was awesome.

特に おすしが おいしかったですね。

The sushi was especially delicious.

よく おすしやさんに 行って 食べていました。

I often went to sushi restaurants and ate there.

おいしいんだけど、めちゃくちゃ 安いんですよ。

It was delicious, but also very cheap.

大学の 時 ほっかいどうに 住んでいました。

I lived in Hokkaido during university.

ほっかいどうの 後で イギリスに 行きました。

After Hokkaido, I went to the UK.

イギリスの ロンドンです。

It was London in the UK.

ロンドンで 英語を 1年 勉強しました。

I studied English in London for one year.

めちゃくちゃ 楽しかったですね。

It was really fun.

いろいろな 国の 友だちが できたし、ヨーロッパを 旅行したし、とても いい 思い出です。

I made friends from many countries, traveled around Europe, and it became a really good memory.

ロンドン また 行きたいですね。

I want to go to London again.

うん。そう、1年間 ロンドンで 勉強しました。

Yes, I studied in London for one year.

そうなんですよ。

Yes, that’s right.

今まで たくさん ポッドキャストを したけど、全部 きえました。

I’ve made many podcast episodes until now, but all of them are gone.

とても かなしいです。

I am very sad.

ぼくは Patreonっていう プラットフォームと Spoティファイで ポッドキャストを していました。

I was making my podcast on a platform called Patreon and on Spotify.

これは Patreonで ポッドキャスト アップすると Spoティファイにも アップされるっていう やり方です。

This is a method where if you upload to Patreon, it also uploads to Spotify.

でも、前 Patreonのほうで アップしていたら データが 全部 きえました。

But earlier, when I uploaded on Patreon, all the data disappeared.

いやー めちゃくちゃ かなしいですね。

Man, this is incredibly sad.

本当に がんばって ポッドキャスト していました。

I really worked hard making the podcast.

たぶん 70くらいの エピソードを 話しましたね。

I probably made about 70 episodes.

それが 今は ありません。

But now, they’re gone.

いやー、本当に たいへんですね。

Man… this is really tough.

たくさんの人が ぼくの ポッドキャストを フォローしてくれました。

Many people followed my podcast.

そして いいねって してくれたんですね。

And they gave me likes.

いい レートも くれました。

They also gave me good ratings.

でも、それが 今は ありません。

But now, all of it is gone.

フォローしてくれる人が 今は ゼロです。

The number of followers is now zero.

いいねも ゼロです。

Likes are also zero.

また がんばらなくちゃ いけませんね。

I have to work hard again.
